AIIMS Bathinda Cancer Project Multi Post Recruitment 2026: Overview
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bathinda (AIIMS Bathinda) is recruiting project staff in its Department of Community and Family Medicine. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funds the study, which aims to improve screening, early diagnosis and treatment initiation for oral, breast and cervical cancer in selected Indian districts.
The team works under Dr. Soumya Swaroop Sahoo, the principal investigator. Your work will support research implementation and data collection in urban areas, villages and health facilities in Bathinda district, Punjab.
Posts and Disciplines
- Project Technical Support-III, Qualitative Research: the qualitative-research role within the cancer project.

Post-wise Duties
Qualitative Research
You will conduct in-depth interviews and focus group discussions, transcribe interviews and analyse qualitative material. You will also visit communities and health facilities to collect data.

You will help produce statistical analyses and outputs for the project using statistical tools. The role also includes visits within Bathinda district for data collection.
Project Manager/Assistant Coordinator
You will support the principal investigator and project scientists with project management and implementation. This includes coordinating with district health authorities, developing and testing tools, organising stakeholder meetings and monitoring timely data collection.
Project Technical Support-I
You will collect quantitative and qualitative data and help schedule field visits. You will also support the organisation of training sessions, workshops and camps.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Tenure: The posts have a 12-month term and remain linked to the sanctioned project. They do not provide a right to permanent employment or a move into another project.
- Applicable rules: AIIMS Bathinda and ICMR rules apply to the engagement. Misconduct, unsatisfactory work or later discovery of ineligibility can lead to cancellation of your appointment.
- Project interruptions: If the project is stalled or postponed, payment may be delayed or stopped for that period.
- Travel costs: The institute will not pay travel, daily or other allowances for attending the interview.
- Recruitment changes: The institute may change the number of posts according to its needs. Canvassing will lead to disqualification.

Salary & Compensation
Pay Scale
Support-III: approximately Rs. 30,800 per month (Rs. 28,000 plus Rs. 2,800 HRA). Support-I: Rs. 19,800 per month (Rs. 18,000 plus Rs. 1,800 HRA).
Allowances
