Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), a grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has released Advertisement No. TMC-ACTREC/ADVT/118/2026. The fellowship is for Bone Marrow Transplantation and is scheduled to begin from 01 August 2026. This is a high-value clinical fellowship for doctors who already have oncology, haematology, paediatric oncology, medicine, paediatrics or family medicine training.

The fellowship is for one year. Appointed fellows may be placed at ACTREC Kharghar, Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai, or other non-Mumbai TMC centres by rotation whenever required. Who Can Apply?

Essential Medical Qualification

• Super-speciality route: You can apply with DM/DrNB in Medical Oncology, Clinical Haematology or Pediatric Oncology.
• MD/DNB route: You can apply with MD/DNB in General Medicine, Pediatrics or Family Medicine recognised by the National Medical Commission.
• Experience condition: MD/DNB candidates need 3 years of experience in Medical Oncology, Clinical Hematology or Pediatric Oncology.
• Registration: Selected candidates appointed at ACTREC must have registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council.

Government or Autonomous Body Candidates

• No Objection Certificate: If you work under Central Government, State Government, autonomous body or semi-government organisation, you need to upload an NOC through the Head of your Institution.
• Original NOC: You will be allowed for MCQ/interview only after producing the original NOC, where applicable.

Important eligibility note: The notice expects all undergraduate, postgraduate and super-speciality degrees to be recognised by the National Medical Commission. Result-awaited candidates may apply, but they must be able to declare degree passing on the day of MCQ/VIVA; otherwise they will not be allowed to appear.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 40 years.
• Age reference date: Age and experience will be counted as on 31 July 2026.
• SC/ST relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years.
• OBC relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years.
• PwD relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for physically handicapped candidates.

Salary

• MS/MD/DNB qualification: Gross stipend is Rs. 1,33,623 per month.
• DM/DrNB qualification: Gross stipend is Rs. 1,45,530 per month.
• Security/Caution Deposit: One Year Fellows have to pay Rs. 1,33,623 at joining, or it may be deducted in five equal instalments from salary.
• Deposit refund: The deposit is refunded without interest after completion of the fellowship. If a fellow leaves before completion, the full deposit will be forfeited.

Application Fee

• Application fee: Rs. 1,000.
• Payment mode: Online by Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI.
• Refund rule: The fee once paid will not be refunded. Duplicate fee payments will also not be refunded.

Accommodation note: Fellows may get sharing accommodation only if available. If hostel accommodation is provided, hostel charges will be deducted every month from stipend or salary.

Selection Process

ACTREC will shortlist applicants for MCQ/VIVA and publish shortlisted names on the ACTREC website under the examination/interview section. You should check the official website regularly because updates will be posted there.

1. Application Scrutiny: Online applications and documents will be checked for qualification, experience, NOC, category and disability details.
2. MCQ Examination if Required: MCQ exam will be conducted only when the number of applicants is more than three times the advertised post.
3. VIVA/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will attend the viva or interview. Candidates may attend in person or request an online interview link.
4. Document Verification: Documentary evidence for date of birth, qualification, experience, caste, disability and NOC will be checked.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the MCQ or interview. The Director, Tata Memorial Centre may fix cut-off marks or minimum standards for calling and selecting candidates.

3. Upload documents for date of birth, qualifications, experience, category, disability and NOC where applicable.
4. Pay the Rs. 1,000 application fee online by Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI.
5. Submit the form before 30 June 2026, 5:30 PM.
6. Do not send a hard copy, because the notice says hard copy submission is not required.
