IIT Bhilai Innovation and Technology Foundation (IBITF) is a Category A Technology Innovation Hub established at IIT Bhilai under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS). It is supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and works on research translation, entrepreneurship, and scalable technology solutions. This recruitment is for senior leaders who can build partnerships, support startups, guide deep-tech programmes, and strengthen IBITF long-term impact.

IBITF works across FinTech, AgriTech, HealthTech, Energy, AI/ML, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and Geospatial systems. The CEO role is focused on institutional growth, commercialization, fundraising, and national visibility, while the CTO role is focused on technology-enabled innovation, startup support, digital platforms, and programme implementation. Both roles need strong stakeholder management because the Foundation works with academia, industry, government, startups, and investors.

Who Can Apply?

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

• Essential Qualification: MBA from a reputed institution in India or abroad.

• Desirable Background: Engineering or related technical degree, startup incubation, research commercialization, IP-led ventures, public-private partnerships, fundraising, government project execution, and Section 8 or not-for-profit experience.

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

• Essential Qualification: B.Tech or B.E. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Additional Qualification: Postgraduate or master's degree in Entrepreneurship, Public Policy, Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in technology-enabled projects, digital platforms, innovation initiatives, startup ecosystems, incubation, programme implementation, monitoring, or project management.

Age Limit

• CEO upper age limit: 55 years as on the closing date of application.
• CTO upper age limit: 45 years as on the closing date of application.

Salary

• CEO: Up to Rs. 45 lakh per annum.
