AIIMS Raipur Research Officer Recruitment 2026: Overview

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur is hiring a Research Officer for the iKMC multicentric study, a child-health research project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and run by the Department of Pediatrics. The post is coded BMGF/02 in the advertisement.

Although AIIMS Raipur is the recruiting institute, the work is based at the District Hospital, Rajnandgaon, where the project site is located. This is a project-based contract, not a regular AIIMS job, so it suits doctors, dentists and public-health graduates who want hands-on research experience in child health.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The first term is six months, and it can be extended by up to 2.5 more years depending on your performance and the project's needs.
• Not on AIIMS payroll: The job ends automatically when the project ends, and you cannot claim permanent employment at AIIMS Raipur or with the investigators.
• Posting centre: You may be asked for your preferred centre, but the Principal Investigator decides the final posting; transfers to other units follow the project's needs, not personal choice.
• Written test only if needed: Selection is by interview, and a written test is added only when more than 50 eligible candidates apply for the post.
• No travel allowance: You will not get any TA/DA for attending the interview.
• Desirable: Having at least one research publication gives you an edge.
