ZP Kanker Accountant Recruitment 2026: Overview

District Panchayat Kanker (Zila Panchayat Uttar Bastar Kanker) is filling Accountant (Lekhapal) posts on contract under the Viksit Bharat – Rozgar aur Ajeevika ke liye Guarantee Mission (Gramin), known as VB-G RAM G. The posts were sanctioned by the state Panchayat and Rural Development Department in July 2026, and the scheme commissioner cleared the appointments and the qualification rules in August 2026.

Only local residents of Chhattisgarh can apply, and the whole process runs online through the district's registration portal. Selection is merit-based: your Class 12 marks, your B.Com marks, a computer practical test and any experience in government rural development schemes all add up to a 100-mark score. If you already work on a rural development scheme at the same or a higher pay level, that experience can lift your rank.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: The appointment is for one year. It may be continued for another year based on your work, ability and conduct, with the consent of both sides and as per government instructions.
• Rules that apply: The contract follows the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Contract Appointment) Rules, 2012, including leave entitlement during the contract.
• Pay terms: The post carries a lump-sum honorarium only; no special pay, dearness allowance or rent allowance is added. Any raise depends on Finance Department approval.
• Experience marks: Only experience in government rural development schemes at an equal or higher pay level counts. You must attach your appointment order, an experience certificate and, if you are still working, your employer's no-objection certificate.
• Two-child rule: Candidates with two living children whose next child was born on or after 26 January 2001 cannot be appointed.
• Past removal: Anyone removed from a Panchayat and Rural Development scheme for irregularities, or whose contract was not renewed, is not eligible.
• Employment exchange: A live employment exchange registration certificate is mandatory; applications without it are rejected.
• Court case: Reservation in this drive is subject to a writ petition in the High Court at Bilaspur, and its outcome binds selected candidates.
• Post count can change: The number of posts may go up or down before appointment orders are issued.
• Agreement: Selected candidates sign a contract on Rs. 50 stamp paper with the employer.
