Who Can Apply?

Junior Weaver

  • Qualification: Matriculation from a recognised board with 8 years experience in loom setting and weaving different fabrics/designs.
  • Skill: You should know preparatory processes for weaving.
  • Desirable: Diploma in Handloom Technology/Textile Technology or a recognised 2-year certificate in handloom weaving.

Junior Printer

  • Qualification: Matriculation or ITI diploma in Textile Printing, Screen Printing, Fabric Printing or Block Printing.
  • Experience: 5 years in block/screen printing, dyeing, processing house, printing unit or recognised institution.

Junior Assistant and Attendant Posts

  • Junior Assistant (Weaving): Matriculation or ITI Diploma in Textile Weaving, plus skills in winding, warping and sizing, with experience/training as mentioned in the notice.
  • Junior Assistant (Processing): Matriculation or ITI Diploma in Textile Dyeing/Printing, with 3 years practical experience or recognised short-term training plus 2 years experience.
  • Attendant (Weaving): Matriculation or ITI in Textile Weaving/Winding/Warping with 2 years experience, or recognised short-term training plus 1 year experience.

Carpenter

  • Qualification: Matriculation or ITI Diploma in Carpentry Trade or equivalent.
  • Experience: Professional carpenter with 3 years experience in carpentry and loom setting.
  • Desirable: Carpentry experience connected with handloom weaving shed and loom setting.

Age Limit

  • The maximum age for direct recruitment is 30 years for all listed posts.
  • Government servants: Age is relaxable up to 40 years under the post-wise table, and the general relaxation note allows government servants' relaxation as per rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted by a duly constituted Selection Committee through written and practical tests. If many applications are received for any post, the appointing authority can use shortlisting criteria before calling candidates for tests.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Matriculation or relevant ITI/trade diploma with post-wise handloom, textile printing, weaving, processing or carpentry experience

Preferred Qualification

Post-wise desirable qualifications include Handloom/Textile Technology diploma, handloom weaving certificate, book binding/sample cutting/booklet experience, or handloom shed carpentry experience where applicable.
