WB Police SAP 13th Bn Driver Recruitment 2026

WB Police SAP 13th Bn Driver Recruitment 2026: Overview

The State Armed Police (SAP) 13th Battalion of West Bengal Police, based at Barjora in Bankura district, is engaging Drivers on a contract basis. The hiring follows a Government of West Bengal order (G.O. No. 2980-PL/PB/3P-08/17 dated 30.09.2026), and the work is with the battalion itself at Barjora.

This is a local, low-barrier opening: a Class VIII pass is enough on paper, but you also need to read and write Bengali, hold a licence for light or heavy vehicles for at least three years, and show documented driving experience. If you can also repair vehicles, attach that certificate — the notice asks for proof of motor-repair and similar skills.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Purely contractual: The engagement is temporary and contract-based, governed by the terms of the contract and the applicable Government rules.
• No regularisation: No claim for regularisation will be entertained in future, so treat this as a fixed-term job, not a route into a permanent police post.
• Medical fitness: Provisionally selected candidates must clear a medical fitness test as directed by the competent authority.
• Police Clearance Certificate: You must hand over a PCC at the time of joining, so apply for it early.
• Merit list: The merit list is drawn up from the marks in the driving test and interview and is published on the battalion's website.
• Right to cancel: The competent authority can cancel the recruitment at any stage without notice or reasons.
