V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) is one of India's major ports, located at Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. It has invited applications for 7 contractual posts spread across the Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics and Human Resources streams. Freshers can apply too — the three Professional Intern posts need no work experience, while the Consultant and Associate Consultant posts are meant for experienced candidates. Who Can Apply?

For Consultant (Rs. 60,000/month):

• Qualification: B.E. in Electrical & Electronics (EEE), Electronics & Communication (ECE) or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
• Experience: At least 4 years of relevant experience.

For Associate Consultant (Rs. 50,000/month):

• Qualification: Any degree with an MBA in HR.
• Experience: 2 years in HR / IR / General Administration, including 1 year in a government department.

For Professional Intern (Rs. 30,000/month):

• Qualification: Graduate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognised university.
• Experience: No experience needed — freshers can apply.

Salary

• Consultant: Rs. 60,000 per month
• Associate Consultant: Rs. 50,000 per month
• Professional Intern: Rs. 30,000 per month
• The pay is a fixed consolidated amount. The engagement is purely on contract for 2 years, subject to a yearly review.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam. Selection is done in these steps:
