V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, formerly known as Tuticorin Port Trust, is one of India's major ports and is located in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The Authority wants to fill one post of Chief Engineer (HOD), who heads its engineering department. The post is being filled by absorption through the composite method, so it is meant for serving officers who are already in government, PSU, or port service. There is no written exam — selection is based on merit.

Who Can Apply?

This is a senior Head of Department post, so it is open to serving officers who meet the service conditions of the composite method.

• Qualification: A degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Long experience in port, marine, or harbour engineering, including construction, planning, and maintenance of structures.

Salary

• The post carries a pay scale of Rs. 1,00,000 – 2,60,000 per month (IDA pattern).

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done on merit through the composite method:
