Who Can Apply?

Engineering and PNG/CNG Posts

  • Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Manager and Assistant Manager: You need a B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, Civil, Chemical or Petroleum with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Engineer - PNG Projects & O&M: You need a 3-year diploma in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, Civil, Chemical or Petroleum with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Finance, HR, Marketing and Billing Posts

  • Human Resources: Full-time MBA in HR with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Finance: Qualified CA/CMA, or full-time MBA Finance with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Marketing: Full-time MBA in Marketing, Finance, Operations Management, or Business Analytics & Data Science with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Billing & Recovery: B.E./B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science or IT, or MBA in the listed management specialisations, with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Experience Requirement

  • Engineer and Assistant Manager: Freshers can apply where the portal shows 0 years experience.
  • Deputy Manager: You need 4 years post-qualification experience.
  • Manager: You need 8 years post-qualification experience.
  • Senior Manager: You need 12 years post-qualification experience.
  • Only post-qualification experience will be counted, though Management Trainee, Graduate Engineer Trainee and Apprentice Trainee work is also considered as experience.

Age Limit

  • You should be at least 21 years old.
  • Maximum age is 45 years.
  • Age, qualification and experience will be checked as on the last date of online application, 7 July 2026.

Salary

  • Engineer (E0): Annual fixed CTC Rs. 5.16 lakh to Rs. 9.20 lakh, about Rs. 43,000 to Rs. 76,667 per month.
  • Assistant Manager (E1): Annual fixed CTC Rs. 7.40 lakh to Rs. 13.60 lakh, about Rs. 61,667 to Rs. 1,13,333 per month.
  • Deputy Manager (E2): Annual fixed CTC Rs. 11.40 lakh to Rs. 21.00 lakh, about Rs. 95,000 to Rs. 1,75,000 per month.
  • Manager (E3): Annual fixed CTC Rs. 12.90 lakh to Rs. 23.80 lakh, about Rs. 1,07,500 to Rs. 1,98,333 per month.
  • Senior Manager (E4): Annual fixed CTC Rs. 14.30 lakh to Rs. 26.30 lakh, about Rs. 1,19,167 to Rs. 2,19,167 per month.
  • Variable pay of up to 15% of annual fixed CTC may be paid based on individual and company performance.

Selection Process

Selection is mainly through shortlisting and interview, based on whether you meet the education, experience and age rules.

  1. Eligibility Screening: VGL will check your qualification, experience and age against the post you selected.
  2. Shortlisting: Normally up to 5 candidates per vacancy may be called. If applications are high, VGL may shortlist between 5 and 15 candidates per vacancy using relevant sector experience.
  3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will attend the interview round.

Preferred Qualification

Relevant Oil & Gas, City Gas Distribution, Hydrocarbon, Retail Distribution or post-specific sector experience may be considered during shortlisting.
