Educational Qualification

• Degree: You need a regular-mode B.E. (Electrical), B.Tech (Electrical), or B.E. Electrical and Electronics (E.E.E.).
• Marks: You need at least 55% average marks in the last year or last two semesters.
• No ATKT: You should not have ATKT in the last year or last two semesters.
• Approval: Your university must be recognised and duly approved by UGC/AICTE.
• Equivalent degree: If your degree is treated as equivalent, you must submit an equivalence certificate from the competent university authority.

Skills and Local Requirement

• Computer knowledge: You should know computer operations.
• Language: Good command over English and Gujarati is required.
• Domicile: Minimum 85% representation in selection is for local residents of Gujarat State as per the government policy mentioned in the notice.

Age Limit

• Unreserved category: up to 35 years.
• Reserved category including EWS: up to 40 years.
• Age is counted as on the advertisement publication date: 10 June 2026.
• Female candidates: 5 years relaxation.
• PwD candidates: 10 years relaxation for suitable disabilities listed in the notice.
• Ex-armed force personnel: 10 years relaxation.
• Dependent of retired GUVNL/subsidiary employee: up to 40 years, with required undertaking.

Salary

• First year fixed pay: Rs. 48,100 per month.
• Second year fixed pay: Rs. 50,700 per month.
• No other allowance or benefit is admissible during Vidyut Sahayak tenure.
• TA/DA reimbursement is allowed as per rules.
• After satisfactory completion of 2 years, the candidate may be considered for regular Junior Engineer - Electrical pay scale of Rs. 45,400 to Rs. 1,01,200.

• Reserved candidates including PwD: Rs. 250 inclusive of GST.

• Bank charges must be paid by the candidate.
• The fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted in another recruitment process.

Selection Process

The selection process uses two online CBT exams, followed by document verification and pre-employment medical examination. Final ranking is based on marks scored in the Second Tier Examination.

1. First Tier CBT: Online test for 100 marks. You need at least 50 marks if unreserved and 45 marks if reserved, EWS, or PwD to qualify for the second tier.
2. Second Tier CBT: Online Electrical Engineering test for 100 marks. Final merit is prepared from this exam.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must submit original and self-attested documents when called.
4. Pre-employment Medical Examination: Candidates must meet the physical fitness standards of the company.
5. Company Allotment: Allotment is based on merit, roster position, vacancies, and company preference given in the online form.

Both tiers have 100 questions for 100 marks. There is negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer.
