  • Computer knowledge: You should know computer operations.
  • Language: Good command over English and Gujarati is required.
  • Domicile: Minimum 85% representation in selection is for local residents of Gujarat State as per the government policy mentioned in the notice.

Age Limit

  • Unreserved category: up to 35 years.
  • Reserved category including EWS: up to 40 years.

  • After satisfactory completion of 2 years, the candidate may be considered for regular Junior Engineer - Electrical pay scale of Rs. 45,400 to Rs. 1,01,200.

  • Reserved candidates including PwD: Rs. 250 inclusive of GST.

  • The fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted in another recruitment process.

Selection Process

The selection process uses two online CBT exams, followed by document verification and pre-employment medical examination. Final ranking is based on marks scored in the Second Tier Examination.

  1. First Tier CBT: Online test for 100 marks. You need at least 50 marks if unreserved and 45 marks if reserved, EWS, or PwD to qualify for the second tier.
  2. Second Tier CBT: Online Electrical Engineering test for 100 marks. Final merit is prepared from this exam.
  3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must submit original and self-attested documents when called.
  4. Pre-employment Medical Examination: Candidates must meet the physical fitness standards of the company.
  5. Company Allotment: Allotment is based on merit, roster position, vacancies, and company preference given in the online form.

Both tiers have 100 questions for 100 marks. There is negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer.

  • Handle electrical distribution, transmission, and field engineering work as assigned
  • Monitor power supply systems, equipment, and technical records
  • Assist in planning, maintenance, and fault handling of electrical networks

Exam Pattern

The recruitment has two Computer Based Tests. Each test has 100 questions for 100 marks.

First Tier Examination

  • Reasoning: 15 marks
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 15 marks
  • English: 20 marks
  • Gujarati: 20 marks
  • General Knowledge: 10 marks
  • Computer Knowledge: 20 marks

Second Tier Examination

  • Electrical Engineering: 100 marks

Negative Marking: 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in both tiers.

Qualifying Marks: First tier qualifying marks are 50 for unreserved candidates and 45 for reserved, EWS, and PwD candidates.

Exam Language: English and Gujarati, except Gujarati subject as stated in the notice.
