The Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Mission (TNSRLM), under the District Mission Management Unit (DMMU) of Theni, has released a notice to fill all vacant Community Bank Coordinator posts in the district on an honorarium basis. Only women candidates who are active SHG members can apply. This is a good chance for women in rural Theni to support community banking work close to home, with selection done through a written test and interview at the district office.

Who Can Apply?

• Gender: Only women candidates can apply.
• Qualification: You must have passed 12th Class with good reading and writing skills in Tamil and English plus basic arithmetic. In hilly areas, if no 12th pass candidate is available, 10th pass candidates may be considered with the District Collector's special permission.
• SHG Membership: You must be a member of a panchayat-level women's Self Help Group federation.
• Experience: You must have worked as an SHG animator (Ootkunar) for at least 2 years.
• Residence: You must live in the block where you will work.
• Target group: You should belong to the target population identified by the People's Status (poverty) survey.
• Other: You must not be a full-time worker in any community-based organisation or private company.

In tribal hilly areas, if no eligible woman SHG member is available, a male member may be selected with the District Collector's special approval.

Age Limit

• You must be below 35 years of age and a member of a panchayat-level women's SHG.

Selection Process

Selection will be done in two stages totalling 100 marks:

1. Written Test (75 marks): A written exam to check your basic knowledge and skills.
2. Interview (25 marks): A face-to-face interview. Your final selection is based on the combined marks.

The written test and interview will be held at the TNSRLM office, Integrated Office Complex, Theni.

1. Prepare your application along with self-attested photocopies of your certificates.
2. Submit the application by post or in person to the Project Director / Joint Director, TNSRLM, Theni Integrated Office Complex, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Ground Floor, Theni.
3. Your application must reach the office by 5.30 PM on 29 May 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.
4. For more details, you can visit the Mahalir Thittam (Women's Scheme) Office, Theni on working days before 6.00 PM.
