Karnataka State Rural Livelihood Promotion Society (KSRLPS), which runs the Sanjeevini programme under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM), has opened 1 Block Manager - Farm Livelihoods post in Ballari district. This is a contract job focused on supporting farm-based livelihoods of rural women (Mahila Kisan) and Self Help Groups at the block level. If you come from an agriculture background and want to work directly on rural development in the field, this role is for you.

Who Can Apply?

You can apply if you meet any one of the qualifications below:

• M.Sc (Agriculture) or allied farm-sector sciences with at least 1 year of field-level work experience in a relevant field, OR
• B.Sc (Agriculture) or allied farm-sector sciences with at least 3 years of field-level work experience in a relevant field, OR
• Any other Master's degree with at least 5 years of field-level work experience in farm livelihoods or a relevant field.

Other Requirements

• You should be ready to work in the field and travel within Ballari district.
• Experience in farm livelihoods, organic farming, or rural development is preferred.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 45 years
• Age relaxation, if any, will be as per KSRLPS and Karnataka government rules.

Salary

• You will get a fixed monthly salary of Rs. 25,000 per month.
• This is a contract position under the NRLM / Sanjeevini programme. Other benefits will be as per the programme guidelines.

• Implement farm livelihood activities at the block level across Ballari district

• Monitor farm livelihood activities of community resource persons through regular field visits
• Collect data and enter it into the MIS for monitoring and evaluation
• Identify institutional and local buyers and organise buyer-seller meets
• Document best practices and support organic farming protocols and workshops
