TNJFU Project Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) has announced a walk-in interview for 1 Project Assistant post under the Chief Minister's Research Grant (CMRG) funded project titled "A Digital Approach to Fish Identification: Empowering Consumers with Knowledge of Commercially Valuable Species". The position is in the Department of Fisheries Biology and Resource Management at Dr. MGR Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thalainayeru. This is a contractual appointment for 1 year, and freshers are also welcome to apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need an M.F.Sc. degree in Fisheries Resource Management, Aquatic Environment Management, Aquaculture, or any other branch of M.F.Sc. Candidates with B.F.Sc. or M.Sc. in Life Sciences are also eligible.
• Desirable: Work experience on the related subject and computer skills. However, freshers are also encouraged to attend the interview.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation (up to 45 years)

Salary

• Selected candidate will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 25,000 per month.
• This is a contractual position under the CMRG project for a period of 1 year.

Selection Process

Selection will be done through a single stage:

1. Walk-in Interview: You need to appear in person on 16 April 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Department of Fisheries Biology and Resource Management, Dr. MGR Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thalainayeru - 614 712, Nagapattinam.

No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates.
