TMC Visiting Consultant Radiodiagnosis Recruitment 2026: Overview

Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), a grant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, is hiring a Visiting Consultant (Radiodiagnosis) for its Varanasi units — Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital (HBCH) and Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre (MPMMCC) on the BHU campus. This is a part-time contract paid by the hour, so it suits a radiologist who wants regular sessions at a major cancer centre without a full-time commitment.

Your hourly rate depends on how long you have worked since your postgraduate degree — the more experience you bring, the higher the band you fall into. Selection happens through a walk-in interview, and outstation candidates have the option of an online interview.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement is contractual and part-time for one year at first, and can be extended based on your performance and the institute's needs.
• Working hours cap: Paid hours are limited to 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and 160 hours a month.
• Rate revision: The hourly rate may change in future if the policy for such appointments is revised.
• Experience-linked pay: Your rate band is fixed by your years of experience after the postgraduate qualification, in four bands from under 5 years to 15 years and above.
