BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an institute of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC), under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. Based in the NCR Biotech Science Cluster at Faridabad, THSTI has released Recruitment Notice No. THS/RN/13/2026, dated 23 July 2026, for one Research Scientist (Senior Bioanalyst) post. This position is attached to the Placenta Health Project - Adaptive Dose Finding Platform in India, led by Principal Investigator Dr. Nitya Wadhwa and Co-PI Dr. Dinesh Mahajan. Prior hands-on experience in LC-MS/MS-based bioanalysis, ideally gained in a BA/BE lab, CRO, or translational research setting, is a must for this role — this is a specialist opening rather than a generic entry-level lab job. THSTI runs several dedicated research centres, including the Centre for Maternal and Child Health, Centre for Virus Research Therapeutics and Vaccines, Centre for Tuberculosis Research, and Centre for Drug Discovery, backed by core facilities like the Bioassay Laboratory, Biorepository, Biosafety Level-3 Lab, and Multi-Omics facility. As a Research Scientist here, you will work alongside scientists supporting clinical and translational studies across these centres.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master's degree in Chemistry, Laboratory Operations & Analytical Chemistry, Instrumentation, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, or any branch of chemical or life sciences from a recognized university.
• Experience: At least 4 years of post-qualification experience is required. You must have hands-on experience in LC-MS/MS-based bioanalysis, preferably gained in a BA/BE setup, a Contract Research Organisation (CRO), or a translational research laboratory.
• Job Profile: You will help set up and run the bioanalytical laboratory, develop and validate LC-MS/MS and HPLC methods for quantifying drugs and metabolites in biological samples like plasma and serum, and support regulatory bioanalytical studies aligned with USFDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines.
• You will also prepare SOPs, maintain lab documentation, and support GCP-aligned audits and inspection readiness for the project.

This is a short-term, project-linked position — the appointment continues based on satisfactory performance and the tenure of the project, and it does not entail any claim to regularization of employment. If THSTI receives a large number of applications, only candidates with higher and more relevant qualifications and experience will be screened forward for the selection process.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 45 years old as on the closing date of the online application (7 August 2026), which is the crucial date for determining age eligibility.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
• PwBD Relaxation: 10 years for Unreserved, 13 years for OBC, and 15 years for SC/ST candidates with Benchmark Disabilities.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 1,20,000 per month.
• This is a fixed, project-linked consolidated amount — the notification does not mention separate DA, HRA, or other allowances for this post.

Selection Process

THSTI will shortlist and select candidates through the following stages:

1. Screening/Shortlisting: Applications are scrutinised based on your qualification and relevant experience. If a large number of applications are received, only candidates with higher and more relevant qualifications will move forward.
2. Written Test / Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates may be called for a written test or a hands-on skill test related to bioanalytical techniques.
3. Interview: Final selection is based on your performance in the interview.
