Project Associate-I - In-silico Genomics Platform (2 posts, Rs. 25,000 + HRA):

• You need a B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biotechnology, or a related field, with knowledge of scripting languages like Perl, R, or Python.
• Age limit: up to 35 years. Walk-in date: 7 August 2026.

Senior Project Associate - TB Research (1 post, Rs. 42,000 + HRA):

• You need a Master's degree in any branch of Life Sciences with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience, OR a PhD in Life Sciences.
• Desirable: at least one research paper published in an indexed journal.
• Age limit: up to 40 years. Walk-in date: 20 July 2026.

Project Associate-I - TB Research (1 post, Rs. 25,000-31,000 + HRA):

• You need a Master's degree in any branch of Life Sciences with experience in DNA cloning, protein purification, growth curves, plasmid isolation, and restriction digestion.
• You get Rs. 31,000 + HRA if you qualified through CSIR-UGC NET (with lectureship)/GATE or a national-level selection, otherwise Rs. 25,000 + HRA.

Project Associate-II - Immunology/IBD Research (1 post, Rs. 33,000 + HRA):

• You need a B.V.Sc/B.Pharm/B.E./B.Tech in any branch of Life Sciences with 2 years' post-qualification experience in immunology, OR a Master's in Life Sciences with 2 years' experience in immunology.
• You should be experienced in immunological, molecular, and cell biology techniques such as RT-PCR, flow cytometry, cell culture, and animal handling.

Project Associate-II - RNA Vaccine Research (1 post, Rs. 28,000-35,000 + HRA):

• You need an M.Sc/M.Tech in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, or an allied subject, with 2 years' post-qualification research experience in molecular virology (recombinant DNA technology, cloning, protein expression/purification, western blotting, mammalian cell culture, mouse handling, ELISA, FACS).
• You get Rs. 35,000 + HRA if you qualified through CSIR-UGC NET (with lectureship)/GATE or a national-level selection, otherwise Rs. 28,000 + HRA.

Age Limit

• Age limits range from 35 to 40 years depending on the post — see the Who Can Apply section above for each post's exact age limit.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates.
• PwBD: 10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC, and 15 years for SC/ST candidates with Benchmark Disabilities.
• Central Government servants get relaxation of up to 5 years. Ex-servicemen get relaxation equal to their service in the armed forces plus 3 years (minimum 6 months attested service required).
• THSTI's own employees get age relaxation equal to their service rendered as on the closing date.

• These are consolidated project salaries, not regular government pay scales, since these are short-term project positions.

Selection Process

Selection for these posts happens directly at the walk-in:

1. Written Test: A short written test may be conducted for shortlisting.
2. Skill Test: A practical/skill test relevant to the project's lab work.
3. Interview: A final interview with the Principal Investigator and selection committee.

If a large number of candidates show up, THSTI may screen entries first based on higher/relevant qualification and experience before the written test/skill test/interview.
