BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), an institute of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, has released Recruitment Notice No. THS/RN/12/2026 dated 21 July 2026. The institute needs staff for five different research projects, covering roles in clinical research, data management, psychology and laboratory science. All posts are short-term project positions filled through a walk-in written test/skill test/interview — there is no separate online application step. This is a great opportunity for life sciences, psychology and data management graduates who want hands-on research experience with a leading Government of India biomedical institute.

Who Can Apply?

Project Research Scientist-II (Rs. 67,000 + HRA):

• You need a PG degree (including integrated PG) in Life Sciences with 3 years of post-qualification research lab experience, OR a PhD in Life Sciences.

Junior Research Scientist (Clinical) (Rs. 60,000):

• You need a Master's degree in Clinical Research, Epidemiology, Public Health or Clinical Trials, or a related subject.

Research Officer (Psychologist) (Rs. 55,000):

• You need a Graduate degree in Psychology/Clinical Psychology with 3 years of experience, OR a Master's degree with 1 year of research experience. Knowledge of Hindi, English and a local language is required.

Assistant Data Manager (Rs. 40,000):

• You need a PG degree with a diploma in Computer Science/IT and 2 years of experience, OR a Graduate degree with the same diploma and 4 years of experience in clinical data management.

Project Assistant (Rs. 40,000):

• You need a Graduate degree in any discipline with 3 years of post-qualification experience. Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and Tally is needed.

Scientific Administrative Assistant (Rs. 18,000 + HRA):

• You need a Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Age Limit

• Age limits vary by post: Project Research Scientist-II & Research Officer (Psychologist): 40 years; Junior Research Scientist (Clinical) & Assistant Data Manager: 35 years; Project Assistant: 30 years; Scientific Administrative Assistant: 50 years. The date of your walk-in interview is the reference date for age calculation.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC candidates get 3 years. PwBD candidates get 10 years (UR), 13 years (OBC) or 15 years (SC/ST). Central Government employees get up to 5 years, and Ex-servicemen get service rendered plus 3 years.

Salary

• Pay ranges from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 67,000 per month (consolidated) depending on the post — see the Vacancy Details table above.
• Project Research Scientist-II and Scientific Administrative Assistant also get HRA in addition to the consolidated pay.

Selection Process

Selection is through a walk-in written test / skill test / interview — the exact mode depends on the post:

1. Document Verification: Bring your latest CV, photocopies and original certificates along with a valid ID card at the venue.
2. Written Test / Skill Test / Interview: Reporting time is 9:00 AM on your post's walk-in date. Candidates arriving after the reporting time will not be entertained.

If a large number of candidates apply, THSTI will screen based on higher/relevant qualification and experience. You must deposit your mobile phone with a valid ID at the reception during the test/interview.

• Support ongoing research projects under your assigned Principal Investigator
• Maintain accurate records, databases and documentation related to your project
• Coordinate with study sites, hospitals and project teams as required
• Prepare reports, presentations and data summaries for the research team
• Follow data protection, lab safety and quality control protocols
• Assist with data collection, entry and validation for clinical/research studies
• Contribute to scientific writing including manuscripts and protocols where applicable
• Attend training sessions and help train junior staff on study procedures
