Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad is looking for 67 Non-Gazetted Officers (NGOs) across 13 different posts on deputation basis. If you are already serving in a CAPF, CPO, or State Police Organisation, you can be nominated for these posts. The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has issued nomination call for filling 67 NGO posts on deputation basis at its Hyderabad campus. This is a deputation drive — only serving officials in CAPFs, CPOs, or State Police Organisations can be nominated through their parent department. Posts include Inspector (Drill, Communication, Band, MT), Sub-Inspector (various trades), ASI, Head Constable and Constable. The Academy is the premier training institution for IPS officers in India.

Who Can Apply?

Eligibility is post-specific. You must be a serving official in a CAPF / Central Police Organisation / State Police Organisation / Union Territory Police.

Inspector (Drill Instructor) - Pay Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 - 1,42,400):

  • Officers holding analogous post (Inspector); or Sub-Inspectors (Exe/GD) with 5 years regular service in Pay Level 6
  • Should have Drill / Weapon Training / Un-Armed Combat / Gymnastics-PT course with grading AX-I, AX, AY or BX
  • 5 years working experience in Academies/Training Institutions
  • Below 45 years of age, Medical Category SHAPE-1

Inspector (Communication / Band / MT) - Pay Level 6/7:

  • Officers holding analogous post or Sub-Inspector with 6 years regular service in the relevant trade
  • Communication: 5 years regular service plus 3 years in Wireless Technical Trade

Sub-Inspector (various trades) - Pay Level 5/6:

  • Officers holding analogous post or Assistant Sub-Inspector with 6 years regular service
  • SI (Outdoor): two of Drill / Weapon Training / Gymnastics / Physical Training with minimum BY grading + 5 years instructor experience, below 50 years

ASI (Ministerial), HC (Riding), HC (GD/Trg/Driver), Constable (GD & Driver):

  • Officials from CAPFs, CPOs, State Police Organisations holding analogous posts or eligible promotion grades
  • For Driver posts: Valid LMV/HMV driving licence and 5 years driving experience
  • For Riding posts: Up to 5 years training experience in horse riding

Salary

  • Inspector posts: Pay Level 7 - Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month (Inspector Drill Instructor)
  • Inspector / Sub-Inspector posts: Pay Level 6 - Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month
  • Sub-Inspector / ASI posts: Pay Level 5 - Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month
  • Head Constable posts: Pay Level 4 - Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month
  • Constable posts: Pay Level 3 - Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month
  • Training Allowance: 24% of basic pay for officials deputed for training duties
  • Other Allowances: Deputation allowance, HRA and transport allowance as admissible

Selection Process

This is a deputation drive — there is no written exam. Selection is based on:

  1. Nomination through Parent Department: Your Head of Office / DG / IG must forward your nomination with bio-data (Annexure-I), DE/Vigilance clearance certificate, present medical category, and ACR/APAR grading of last five years.
  2. Eligibility Screening: SVPNPA Establishment branch will check whether you meet the post-specific eligibility criteria.
  3. Suitability Assessment: The Academy assesses suitability based on training courses completed, grading, instructor experience, medical fitness and service record.
  4. Final Selection: Selected officials are issued deputation orders by SVPNPA.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct training courses for IPS probationers and other police officers at SVPNPA
  • Handle drill, weapon training, unarmed combat, gymnastics, or PT sessions as per post specialisation
  • Operate communication equipment, band ceremonies, motor transport or riding sections at the Academy
  • Maintain training records, attendance registers and assessment reports
  • Assist senior officers in administrative, ministerial or technical duties at the Academy
  • Manage the security, transport or driving duties as per assigned post
  • Follow MHA and Academy rules on conduct, discipline and training delivery
