CNP Nashik, a Miniratna Category-I CPSE wholly owned by the Government of India, has released Advertisement No. CNP/HR/Consultant(Civil)-Contractual/02/2026 for engaging a retired officer as Consultant (Civil) on a fixed tenure contract. CNP Nashik is an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified unit under the Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL), which prints currency notes for the Government of India. No written exam or online form is required — eligible candidates can directly attend the walk-in interview with their documents. This role suits retired PSU or government engineers who want to continue working in civil project supervision after retirement, using their experience in construction, maintenance and e-tendering to support the Unit's infrastructure needs.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must be a retired Executive or Gazetted Officer from a Government Department, Autonomous Body, or PSU who held a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: You should have hands-on experience in construction and maintenance of buildings and structures, monitoring and execution of civil projects, and the e-tendering process.
• Pay level held: Your last pay level (E-1 to E-8 range) at retirement decides your monthly compensation slab.
• Also eligible: Retired officers from State Government bodies, Autonomous bodies and PSUs who served in DA/IDA pay scales, in addition to Central Government retirees.

Age Limit

• You must be less than 64 years old as on the date of the advertisement to be considered for engagement.
• The contract will be automatically terminated once you turn 65 years, regardless of the remaining tenure.

Salary

• Monthly compensation (all-inclusive, consolidated) ranges from Rs. 58,000 to Rs. 86,000 depending on your pay level at retirement.
• Officers from E-1 to E-2 level get Rs. 58,000, E-3 to E-4 get Rs. 69,000, E-5 gets Rs. 75,000, E-6 to E-7 get Rs. 81,000, and the highest slab gets Rs. 86,000.
• The engagement is initially for 1 year and may be extended based on your performance.

Selection Process

There is no written exam. Selection happens in a single stage:

1. Walk-in Interview: Bring your original certificates and documents. Your eligibility and experience will be checked on the spot before the interview.

Candidates who do not carry the required original certificates and self-attested photocopies at the time of registration will not be allowed to appear for the interview, so make sure your documents are in order before you travel to Nashik.

Once selected, the engagement will initially run for 1 year from your date of joining, and your posting will be at Currency Note Press, Nashik (Maharashtra). The Unit may reduce or extend the contract at its discretion based on your performance.

• Supervise toilet repair, painting work, and disposal of civil waste and debris
• Recommend preventive maintenance to extend the life of buildings and quarters
• Handle any other civil-related task assigned from time to time
