Shaheed Mahendra Karma Vishwavidyalaya (SMKV), Bastar is the state university at Dharampura, Jagdalpur in south Chhattisgarh. It is filling Class III technical non-teaching posts on its campus through direct, regular recruitment — lab staff for nine science and social-science departments, statistics and psychology support staff, and accounts and library assistants.

• Technical Assistant (Statistics and Psychology): senior technical support posts in the two departments; two years of experience on an equivalent post is required.
• Research Assistant (Statistics and Psychology): research support posts in the same two departments, also needing two years of equivalent experience. Technical and Research Assistant candidates of the same subject sit one common written test.
• Laboratory Technician: one post each in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geology, Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Geography and Psychology, each with its own subject paper.
• Laboratory Assistant (Education): lab posts in the Education department, open to graduates in Education.
• Accounts Assistant: finance-section posts for Commerce post-graduates who also hold a one-year computer diploma.
• Library Assistant: a post in the university library for Library and Information Science graduates.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Domicile: You must be a permanent resident (mool niwasi) of Chhattisgarh and show the state domicile certificate at document verification.
• Probation: selected candidates join on a three-year probation.
• Experience bonus: if you already work at SMKV as a daily-wage employee, your experience can add up to 10 marks to your final merit, provided you bring the experience certificate.
• Skill test on campus: the written test is held at district centres, but the skill/practical test happens at the university campus in Jagdalpur.
• Joining checks: you join only after a fitness certificate from the District Hospital medical board and police character verification by the Superintendent of Police.
• Government employees: you can apply directly, but you must request a No Objection Certificate from your office right away and produce it at document verification.
• Disability reservation: only holders of a permanent benchmark disability certificate get the PwBD benefit, and the State Medical Board confirms the certificate at the time of joining.
• Seat count may change: the university can increase or reduce the number of posts.
• Cut-off date for documents: every qualification must be complete by the last date of this advertisement; later certificates are not accepted.
