State Bank of India (SBI) is hiring 12 Deputy Manager-level Specialist Cadre Officers for its Cyber Security Centre of Excellence. If you are a tech professional with at least 4 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, ethical hacking, incident response, emerging technologies, or test engineering, this is your chance to join India's largest public sector bank on a regular (permanent) basis with an attractive pay package in the range of Rs. 64,820 to Rs. 93,960 per month.

- Grade: MMGS-II (Middle Management Grade Scale-II) on a regular basis
- Posting location: Mumbai or anywhere in India based on administrative requirements
- Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. / MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or Communications with minimum 50% marks
- Experience required: At least 4 years of post-qualification experience in the Cyber Security or Information Technology domain

The selection process is straightforward -- Shortlisting followed by a personal Interview worth 100 marks. SBI will shortlist candidates based on qualifications and experience, and shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. The final merit list will be prepared based solely on interview scores.

Responsibilities
- Operate within SBI's Cyber Security Centre of Excellence, managing and building advanced cyber defense capabilities
- Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to cyber threats while ensuring compliance with RBI, NIST, and ISO 27001 standards
- Conduct red team and blue team exercises, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments across applications and infrastructure
- Lead incident response lifecycle activities including detection, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis
- Research and evaluate emerging security technologies such as AI/ML, Blockchain, and Quantum Computing for banking cybersecurity applications
- Execute digital forensic investigations involving cyber incidents, fraud, data leakage, and policy violations
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, performance, and security testing of banking systems
- Collaborate with business units, developers, and external stakeholders to translate security requirements into technical solutions
- Prepare detailed technical reports, dashboards, and recommendations for senior management and regulatory bodies
- Mentor and develop team members while fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness across the organization
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science/IT/Electronics/Communications or MCA or M.Tech/M.Sc in CS/IT/Electronics with minimum 50% score from a recognized university
Preferred Qualification
Advanced degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology. Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, CISSP, CISM, ISTQB, CHFI, GIAC preferred
Required Skills
Cybersecurity expertise, penetration testing, incident response, malware analysis, digital forensics, SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), Python/PowerShell scripting, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), OWASP methodologies
Age Limit
25 - 35 years (as on 31 Dec 2025)

Exam Pattern
Selection through Shortlisting + Interview (100 Marks)
- Shortlisting: SBI will shortlist candidates based on qualifications, experience, and other eligibility parameters. Meeting minimum eligibility does not guarantee an interview call.
- Interview: Carries 100 marks. Qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank. The final merit list will be prepared in descending order of interview scores.
- Tie-breaker rule: If two or more candidates score the same marks at the cut-off point, the candidate older in age will be ranked higher.
Note: There is no written examination for these posts. Selection is entirely based on shortlisting and interview performance.
