Selection Process
The walk-in interview on 13 May 2026 has three stages:
- Document Verification: 0900 to 1000 hrs at Sainik School Satara office
- Written Test (1030 to 1130 hrs): 50 marks total — General Knowledge (5 marks), General English (10 marks), Basic Maths (10 marks), Subject Test of appropriate level (25 marks)
- Skill/Proficiency Test followed by Interview: covers Burn & Basic Dressing, Snake bite treatment, Fracture treatment, CPR, First aid, and dealing with cases of injury/sickness of students in a residential school
Candidates who report after 1030 hrs on 13 May 2026 will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

Responsibilities
- Handle nursing care for students in this residential public school
- Manage Burn and Basic Dressing, Snake bite treatment, Fracture treatment, CPR, and First aid
- Attend to cases of injury and sickness among students round the clock
- Stay on the school campus to be available for medical emergencies
- Maintain proper records of medicines, treatments, and student health
- Coordinate with doctors and parents for student health concerns
- Assist in routine medical check-ups and health camps in the school
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Nursing Diploma or Degree from a recognised institution
Preferred Qualification
Higher qualification and experience in a residential public school. Good English communication skills.

Exam Pattern
The written test will have 50 marks in total. You will get 1 hour (1030 to 1130 hrs) to complete it.
Subject-wise Breakdown
- General Knowledge: 5 marks
- General English: 10 marks
- Basic Maths: 10 marks
- Subject Test (Nursing): 25 marks
Note: Only candidates who qualify the written test will move to the next stage — Skill/Proficiency Test followed by Interview. The skill test covers Burn & Basic Dressing, Snake bite treatment, Fracture treatment, CPR, First aid, and handling student injuries.
