SAIL BSL Quality Manager Recruitment 2026 — 1 Post

SAIL, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise and India's largest steel producer, is looking for a qualified Quality Manager for its Aviation Wing at Bokaro Steel Plant. The selected candidate will be responsible for functioning as Quality Manager in the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO). This is a specialized role under Advt. No. BSL/R-C/2026-02 dated 25 March 2026.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Engineering Degree (Full-time) in Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Avionic stream from a UGC/AICTE recognized university or institute
• OR Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering from a DGCA approved organization

Work Experience (Post-Qualification)

• Option 1: At least 2 years as Quality Manager (QM) or Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) in any organization approved for CAR-145 / Sub-Part-G activities
• Option 2: At least 10 years in the Aeronautical/Aviation industry, including a minimum of 5 years in CAMO of an organization approved for CAR-145 / Sub-Part-G activities

Other Requirements

• Must be an Indian national
• Must be medically fit to perform duties
• Candidates working in Government/PSU/Autonomous organizations must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their present employer

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 55 years as on the date of advertisement, i.e., 25 March 2026
• The candidate must be medically fit to perform duties

Salary and Benefits

• Compensation Package: Negotiable
• Contract Period: 3 years (initial), extendable at the discretion of the company

Other Benefits

• Rent-free company accommodation (2 BHK or equivalent), subject to availability. Electricity and water charges apply as per SAIL employee rates. No HRA.
• Post-paid SIM under CUG with monthly ceiling of Rs. 500 per month (including call charges, rental, and taxes)
• Medical facility for self, spouse, and dependent children at Bokaro Steel Plant Hospital (without referral benefit), provided you are not getting the same from a previous organization
• 30 days leave per year, subject to prior approval

Selection Process

1. Walk-in Interview — Candidates must appear in person at the scheduled venue with all required documents
2. Medical Screening — After the interview, selected candidates will undergo a medical screening

Engagement will start immediately after selection is completed and orders are issued.

• Function as Quality Manager in the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) at Bokaro Steel Plant's Aviation Wing
• Monitor and maintain quality standards for aircraft maintenance and airworthiness activities
• Handle compliance with DGCA regulations, CAR-145, and Sub-Part-G requirements
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, audit reports, and airworthiness records
• Assist the management in ensuring aviation safety standards and regulatory compliance
• Work with maintenance teams to review and approve airworthiness procedures
• Manage quality audits and inspections as per CAMO guidelines
• Follow all additional responsibilities assigned by the Management as per requirement
