SAI Junior Translation Officer Recruitment 2026

The Sports Authority of India (SAI), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has issued a notification for 6 regular Junior Translation Officer posts. This is not an open recruitment — SAI is inviting applications only from candidates whose names appear in the SSC Combined Hindi Translator Examination 2024 Public Disclosure List, in a fixed ratio against each reservation category. SAI is an autonomous organisation registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, with a mandate to develop and promote sports across the country. It maintains international-standard sports infrastructure and trained coaches nationwide to help Indian athletes achieve excellence in international competitions. To support this work with accurate bilingual documentation, SAI needs qualified Hindi translators for its head office and regional operations.

Who Can Apply?

• Eligibility: Only candidates whose names, roll numbers and email IDs appear in the SSC Combined Hindi Translator Examination 2024 Public Disclosure List, as notified individually by SAI, can apply for this post
• Category-wise vacancies: Unreserved (UR) - 3, EWS - 1, OBC - 1, SC - 1 (1 post reserved for PwBD is filled horizontally within these categories)
• Category declared final: The category you select while filling the Junior Translation Officer application form will be treated as final

SAI has shortlisted a pool of candidates in each category — a multiple of the actual number of vacancies — from the PDL merit list. Submitting your application does not guarantee a job offer; only the top candidates by merit, within the available vacancies for your category, will receive an Offer of Appointment.

Age Limit

• You should not have completed 30 years of age as on 08 July 2026 (the opening date of the online application) to be eligible for this post.
• Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other reserved categories.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary starting from Rs. 35,400 per month under Pay Matrix Level-6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission, going up to Rs. 1,12,400 at the top of the level.
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

SAI is not conducting a fresh exam. Selection follows this process:

1. Merit-Based Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted using their marks from the SSC Combined Hindi Translator Examination 2024, in a fixed ratio for each category against the number of vacancies.
2. Offer of Appointment: Based on this merit order and the number of available vacancies, SAI issues appointment offers, subject to you meeting the eligibility criteria.

Submitting the application form does not guarantee selection — SAI's decision is final, and in case of any dispute, the English version of the notification will prevail.
