RSSB Computer Instructor Recruitment 2026 — 3951 Vacancies

Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) is hiring 3,951 Senior and Basic Computer Instructors for schools under the Secondary Education Department and Sanskrit Education Department of Rajasthan. Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has released Advertisement No. 07/2026 dated 22.05.2026 for 3,951 vacancies in two cadres - Senior Computer Instructor (322 posts) and Basic Computer Instructor (3,629 posts). The recruitment is conducted jointly for the Secondary Education Department (3,715 posts) and Sanskrit Education Department (236 posts) across all districts of Rajasthan. The two-paper computer-based examination is scheduled for 22 August 2026 (Senior CI) and 23 August 2026 (Basic CI). Graduates with computer qualifications and engineers can apply.

Vacancy Breakdown

30% horizontal reservation for women candidates is applicable category-wise. 8% for widows and 2% for divorced women within the women's quota.

Who Can Apply?

For Senior Computer Instructor

• M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science / IT / ECE / EE / EEE / ETE / EIE, OR
• M.Sc in Computer Science / IT, OR
• MCA / 'B' Level / 'C' Level (DOEACC / NIELIT), OR
• Any equivalent or higher qualification recognised by the Government
• You must have working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture

For Basic Computer Instructor

• Graduate + 'A' Level / PGDCA (minimum one year), OR
• B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science / IT / ECE / EE / EEE / EIC / TIE, OR
• B.Sc in Computer Science / IT, OR
• BCA from a University established by law in India, OR
• Any equivalent or higher qualification recognised by the Government
• You must have working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years of age as on 01 January 2027.
• Age Relaxation:
• SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS men of Rajasthan: 5 years
• General category women of Rajasthan: 5 years
• SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS women of Rajasthan: 10 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: additional 5 years beyond category relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen of Rajasthan: 15 years (subject to max age limit 50)
• Widows: no upper age limit (subject to service age cap)
• Note: As Sanskrit Education Department posts are being recruited for the first time, only the standard relaxations above apply. Secondary Education Department posts get an additional 3 years relaxation due to the 2022 recruitment gap.

Salary

• Senior Computer Instructor: Pay Matrix Level-10 — Rs. 33,800 to Rs. 1,06,700 per month (7th Rajasthan Pay Matrix)
• Basic Computer Instructor: Pay Matrix Level-8 — Rs. 26,300 to Rs. 85,500 per month (7th Rajasthan Pay Matrix)
• During the two-year probation, only fixed remuneration as notified by the State Government will be paid (no HRA, DA, CCA, TA or other allowances)
• After probation, you will get full pay-scale plus DA, HRA and other allowances as per Rajasthan Civil Services Rules
• Pension as per the New Pension Scheme of the Rajasthan Government

Application Fee

• General / Creamy-layer OBC and MBC: Rs. 600
• Non-Creamy-layer OBC / MBC / SC / ST / EWS (Rajasthan domicile): Rs. 400
• All Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan): Rs. 400
• Candidates from other states (irrespective of category) and creamy-layer reserved candidates pay the General fee of Rs. 600
• Payment mode: Online (e-Mitra kiosks, CSC, Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card)
• OTR (One Time Registration) fee is paid only once

Selection Process

The selection is in two stages:

1. Written Examination (CBT / TBT / OMR based): Two papers of 100 marks each (200 marks total). Each paper has 100 multiple-choice questions in 2 hours. Negative marking of 1/3 mark for every wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (35% for SC/ST candidates).
2. Document Verification and Eligibility Check for shortlisted candidates

If you do not darken any bubble for more than 10% of questions, you will be disqualified. There is a 5th option 'E' for unanswered questions.

How to Apply

1. Login to the SSO Rajasthan portal at sso.rajasthan.gov.in using your SSO ID. New users must register first.
2. Select the Recruitment Portal from Citizen Apps (G2C) and click on Apply Now.
3. Complete OTR (One Time Registration) if not done earlier by selecting your category (UR / EWS / OBC-NC / MBC-NC / SC / ST / SAH), Divyangjan status and home state, and paying the OTR fee.
4. Fill in the online application form with photograph, signature, thumb impression and visible body mark.
5. Choose your department preference (Secondary Education / Sanskrit Education) — preference cannot be changed later.
6. Upload required documents in the Document Details section as per board instructions.
7. Pay the fee online and submit before 23 June 2026, 23:59 hours.
8. Take a printout of the submitted application for your records.
