Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification (as per UGC Regulations 2018):

• Master's Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade)
• Ph.D Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives and Manuscript-keeping
• Evidence of innovative library services, including integration of ICT in a library

Experience Required:

• At least 10 years as a Librarian at any level in a University Library, OR
• 10 years teaching as Assistant / Associate Professor in Library Science, OR
• 10 years experience as a College Librarian

Other Requirements:

• Candidates with foreign university degrees must submit an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi
• Candidates currently in service must apply through Proper Channel with NOC at the time of interview
• Candidates with more than two children after 26/01/2001 are not eligible — separate affidavit required

Age Limit

• Age and relaxations are as per Madhya Pradesh Government and UGC norms
• The crucial date for reckoning eligibility is the last date of application: 15 June 2026

Salary

• Academic Pay Level 14 as per 7th CPC: Rs. 1,44,200 - Rs. 2,18,200 per month
• Plus DA, HRA and other allowances as per Madhya Pradesh Government rules
• UGC pay scales as adopted by the Madhya Pradesh State Government

Selection Process

Selection is based on:
