Who Can Apply?

For Engineering Disciplines (Chemical, Boiler, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Materials, Civil, Fire, Industrial Engineering, IT):

• Regular and full-time 4-year BE/B.Tech in the relevant engineering discipline from a UGC/AICTE recognised institute, OR a 3-year BE/B.Tech after a diploma in engineering.
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks in the final year of your engineering degree (55% for SC/ST candidates).
• Boiler discipline: you must also hold a valid Boiler Operation Engineer's Certificate (BOE) or Boiler Proficiency Certificate.
• CC Lab discipline: a Ph.D in Chemistry is preferred; BE/B.Tech in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering or Chemical Technology is also accepted.

For Management Trainee (Rajbhasha):

• Master's degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject, or Master's degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject (or equivalent combinations).
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks in your final year of post-graduation.

For Management Trainee (Finance):

• CA/CMA, OR a graduation degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (B.Com/BMS/BAF/BBA) plus a 2-year MBA/MMS/PGDM with specialisation in Finance.
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks in the final year of your post-graduation (55% for SC/ST candidates). M.Com will not be considered.

For Management Trainee (Marketing):

• Science/Engineering/Agriculture graduate plus a 2-year MBA/MMS/PGDM with specialisation in Marketing or Agri Business Management.
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks in the final year of your post-graduation (55% for SC/ST candidates).

Age Limit

• The upper age limit as on 1 February 2026 is 27 years for UR/EWS candidates.
• SC/ST candidates: up to 32 years. OBC (NCL) candidates: up to 30 years.
• PwBD candidates: relaxation up to 37 years (UR/EWS), 40 years (OBC NCL), and 42 years (SC/ST).
• Additional concession: 5 years for children/family members of 1984 riot victims.

Salary

• You will get a lump-sum stipend of Rs. 60,000 per month during the 1-year training period.
• After successful training, you will be absorbed into E1 Grade with pay of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,40,000 per month — minimum gross monthly pay works out to about Rs. 86,320 including VDA, perks, and HRA.
• Free hostel accommodation is provided at Trombay/Thal during training. Trainees posted elsewhere get a fixed allowance of Rs. 5,000 per month for boarding and lodging.
• You will also get medical facility, accident insurance, gratuity, provident fund, and pension benefits as per company rules.

Selection Process

1. Online Test: 100 questions for 150 marks in 90 minutes — 50 discipline-related questions (2 marks each) and 50 questions on General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and General Knowledge (1 mark each). There is negative marking for wrong answers.
2. Document Scrutiny: your uploaded documents are checked against the eligibility criteria.
3. Personal Interview: you will be shortlisted at roughly 7 candidates per vacancy based on your online test rank.
4. Pre-Employment Medical Exam: includes physical examination, vision and hearing tests, ECG, X-ray, and blood/urine tests.

Final merit is based on 80% weightage for the online test and 20% for the personal interview. The online test is conducted in Hindi (Rajbhasha) and English at centres including Bhopal, Delhi/NCR, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Guwahati, Kolkata, Mumbai/Navi Mumbai/Thane, and Nagpur.
