The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is looking for a qualified medical professional to serve as Part-Time Medical Consultant at its Ranchi office. This position involves providing medical services at the Bank's dispensary located at Zila Parishad Bhawan, Kutchery Chowk, Ranchi, and at the MC's own private clinic on weekends and holidays. This vacancy is reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. If you are an MBBS doctor with at least two years of clinical experience and reside near central Ranchi, this could be an excellent part-time opportunity alongside your regular practice.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must hold an MBBS degree from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India (Allopathic system of medicine).
• Preferred Qualification: A postgraduate degree in General Medicine will be an added advantage.
• Experience: You need at least 2 years of post-qualification experience practicing allopathic medicine in any hospital or clinic.
• Category: This post is reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates only. You must submit the required ST certificate in the prescribed government format.
• Residence: Your dispensary or residence must be within a 3-5 km radius of the Bank's dispensary in Kutchery Chowk, Ranchi.

Salary and Benefits

• You will be paid Rs. 1,000 per hour for the entire 3-year contract period.
• Out of your monthly pay, Rs. 1,000 per month will be treated as conveyance expenses.
• You will also get Rs. 1,000 per month as mobile phone reimbursement.
• If you are required to work on a public holiday, you will receive Rs. 1,000 per hour as compensation.
• No other facilities, perks, pension, PF, gratuity, or leave will be provided. This is a purely contractual engagement.

Duty Hours and Location

• Bank Premises (Monday to Friday): 1 hour per day during banking hours at RBI's Main Office, 1st Floor, Zila Parishad Bhawan, Kutchery Chowk, Ranchi-834001, and/or 4th Floor, RRDA Building, Kutchery Chowk, Ranchi-834001.
• Private Dispensary (Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays): 1 hour at your own clinic or dispensary.
• The Bank may change the duty hours and dispensary location at its discretion based on operational needs.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through interview:

1. Shortlisting: RBI may raise the minimum eligibility criteria to limit the number of candidates called for interview. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview call.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. The Bank will assess your qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role.
3. Document Verification: Original documents and certificates will be verified before final selection.

Simply meeting the eligibility criteria does not entitle you to be called for interview. RBI reserves the right to limit candidate numbers.

• Provide medical consultation to RBI staff and their dependents at the Bank's dispensary
• Conduct routine health check-ups and prescribe medication as needed
• Handle emergency medical situations at the Bank premises during duty hours
• Maintain proper records of patient consultations, prescriptions, and medical history
• Offer medical services at your private dispensary on weekends and holidays for Bank employees
• Prepare and submit periodic health reports as required by the Bank
• Follow all terms and conditions laid down by RBI regarding medical practice and confidentiality
