The monthly CTC is Rs. 3,65,000 for Sr. Solution Architect and Rs. 3,05,000 for Solution Architect. Age limit is 24 to 50 years (up to 55 with relaxation).

RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RCIL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has released an indicative notice for contractual engagement of experienced Solution Architects at its Corporate Office, New Delhi. This is a walk-in interview drive — no written exam. The engagement is for 3 years on contract, renewable annually based on performance. Experienced IT professionals with a proven track record in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, AI/ML, and government/PSU Data Centre management should apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Sr. Solution Architect (Technical)

• Qualification: Master's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / MCA, or Engineering degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science / IT / Electronics & Telecom from a recognized university/institute
• Experience: Minimum 20 years of relevant experience with a strong portfolio in Data Centre, IT & handling Government/PSU Data Centres — with at least 5 years in a Solution Architect role

For Solution Architect (Technical)

• Qualification: Master's degree in Computer Science / MCA / IT, or Engineering degree in Computer Science / IT / Electronics from a recognized university/institute
• Experience: Minimum 14 years of relevant experience with a strong portfolio in Data Centre, IT & handling Government/PSU Data Centres

Note: All mandatory educational/professional qualifications must be from recognized universities, autonomous institutes, or government-approved institutions in India.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 24 years
• Maximum age: 50 years
• Maximum age after all relaxations: 55 years
• OBC relaxation: 3 years
• PwBD relaxation: 10 years (valid certificate required)

Salary (Monthly CTC)

• Sr. Solution Architect: Rs. 3,65,000 per month CTC (inclusive of employer's contribution towards gratuity and medical benefits)
• Solution Architect: Rs. 3,05,000 per month CTC (inclusive of employer's contribution towards gratuity and medical benefits)

Note: The engagement is contractual for 3 years, with renewal on a yearly basis subject to work requirements and satisfactory performance.

Selection Process

Selection is via walk-in interview — no written exam.

1. Walk-in Interview: Attend in person at the RailTel Corporate Office, New Delhi on 30 April 2026 at 9:00 AM. Bring the filled application form (Annexure-I from the official website) along with original and self-attested photocopies of all required documents.
2. Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical examination conducted by RailTel's designated medical authority. Final empanelment is subject to medical fitness.
3. Document Verification: All submitted documents will be verified at the time of interview and appointment.

No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview or medical examination.

• Engage with NIC for e-Office resiliency and modernization initiatives
• Assess and track compliance as per industry standards and guidelines for enforcement by Operations and SOC teams
• Build, test, and roll out multi-cloud strategies for RailTel's Data Centre infrastructure
• Provide presales support to the marketing team for designing, vetting solutions, customization, and risk mitigation
• Attend customer meetings with RailTel marketing officials to address SLA issues and evaluate new solutions for proposals
• Assess architecture, compliance, and risk mitigation of Data Centre customers built and managed by RailTel
• Evaluate and test new technologies including AI, ML, Cyber Security, Cloud environments, and Kubernetes solutions
• Plan and govern cloud infrastructure at partner-hosted Data Centres and integrate with existing Centres of Excellence in compliance with CSP guidelines of MeitY
• Assess cloud posture management and prepare a Standard Cyber Security Framework incorporating vulnerability management, application security, and Data Privacy as per DPDP Act
