RailTel Junior Hindi Translator Recruitment 2026 — 2 Posts

RailTel Corporation of India Limited, established in 2000 as a wholly-owned PSU of Indian Railways, has grown into a leading telecom and ICT solutions provider with a 62,000+ km optical fibre network across the country. Through Vacancy Notice No. 07/2026 (dated 13.03.2026, Ref: RCIL-CO0HR(RENG)/1/2026), RailTel is looking for experienced Hindi translators from Central Government or Railway organizations to join its Rajbhasha department. The selected candidates will help with Hindi translation, official language implementation, and Parliamentary Committee inspections.

Who Can Apply?

For Deputation

  • You must be a serving Junior Hindi Translator with at least 4 years of service in Level-6 (7th CPC)
  • You should be proficient in English-to-Hindi translation
  • You need knowledge of Rajbhasha implementation work as per Railway Board and Department of Official Language (MHA) instructions
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Hindi typing skills are required
  • Prior experience in conducting Parliamentary Committee inspections on official languages is needed

For Re-employment

  • You must be a retired or resigned officer from Railways
  • You should have worked as Junior Hindi Translator with 4 years of service in Level-6 (7th CPC)
  • Same skill requirements as deputation candidates apply

Age Limit

  • Deputation: Your age should not exceed 56 years on the closing date of receipt of application
  • Re-employment: Your age should be below 63 years on the closing date (retired/resigned from Railways)
  • Age reference date: Closing date of vacancy notice (12 April 2026)

Salary

  • On Deputation: You will get your parent grade pay plus deputation allowance as per government rules
  • On Re-employment: You will get DPE scales and allowances at the E-0 level as per RailTel's terms and conditions
  • E-0 IDA Pay Scale at RailTel: Rs. 30,000 — 1,20,000 per month (Industrial DA pattern)

Responsibilities

  • Handle English-to-Hindi translation of official documents, letters, and communications for RailTel's regional offices
  • Assist in implementing Rajbhasha (Official Language) policy as per Railway Board and MHA guidelines
  • Prepare quarterly and annual progress reports on Hindi usage in the assigned region
  • Work with regional teams to ensure compliance with Official Language Act and related rules
  • Manage Hindi correspondence, noting, and drafting for the regional office
  • Follow up on Parliamentary Committee on Official Language inspections and prepare required documentation
  • Monitor Hindi usage targets and train staff on basic Hindi terminology and official language norms
