The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, has invited applications for the post of Individual Consultant – NHIMS (Software & GIS Applications) at Level III. This is a contract-based position at PNGRB's headquarters in New Delhi.

The appointment is initially for 1 year and can be extended up to a total of 3 years based on performance and need.

Salary

• Pay: Rs. 1,20,000 per month (lump sum / consolidated)
• Annual Increment: 10% per year

Who Can Apply – Eligibility

Educational Qualification:

• B.Tech / B.E. / MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline from a recognized university
• M.Tech / M.E. in a related discipline is desirable (preferred but not mandatory)

Experience:

• Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in software development, web applications, mobile apps, GIS, and data visualization

Age Limit:

• Below 62 years as on 12 March 2026

Selection Process

There is no written exam for this post. Selection will happen in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting – Applications will be screened based on qualification and experience
2. Document Verification – Shortlisted candidates must submit original documents for verification
3. Interview – Final selection based on interview performance

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and GIS-based systems for the NHIMS platform
• Build and manage open-source web applications following best practices in UI/UX design
• Develop mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms
• Create and manage RESTful APIs for system integration
• Implement security standards as per OWASP guidelines in all developed applications
• Work across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from requirement gathering to deployment
• Perform data analysis and develop data visualization tools and dashboards
• Integrate GIS tools and geographic data into the NHIMS application ecosystem
• Conduct testing using established testing frameworks and fix identified bugs
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and user manuals as required
• Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
