Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Junior Engineer & Health Inspector Recruitment 2026 - 60 Posts
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is one of the largest civic bodies in Maharashtra and looks after cleanliness and sanitation across the city. Its Solid Waste Management Department has opened 60 contract posts — 30 Junior Engineer (Environmental) and 30 Health Inspector. The posts are shared across PMC's zonal offices, with about 2 posts of each type in every zone. These roles support Pune's daily garbage collection, waste processing and Swachh Survekshan cleanliness work. There is no written exam for this recruitment, which makes it a good chance for freshers. Only people who live in Maharashtra and understand Marathi can apply.
Both roles are important for keeping Pune clean. As a Junior Engineer (Environmental), you will plan and check waste collection, treatment and disposal work using your engineering knowledge. As a Health Inspector, you will inspect sanitation on the ground, keep public areas clean, and make sure hygiene rules are followed. Together, these 60 posts help keep the city's daily cleanliness system running smoothly.
