National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Hajipur (NIPER Hajipur) has released notice NIPER-HJP/CoE/Recruitment/2026/01 for contractual posts under the Centre of Excellence in Biological Therapeutics. NIPER Hajipur is an Institute of National Importance under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, and the CoE is funded under the PRIP scheme. This is a project-based contractual recruitment for work connected with biologics, biosimilars, monoclonal antibodies, proteins, peptides, advanced vaccines, cell and gene therapy platforms, lab administration, accounts, and civil lab infrastructure.

Who Can Apply?

Scientific and Leadership Posts

• Chief Executive Officer: You need a PhD in Biological or Pharmacological Sciences with at least 10 years of progressive industrial experience in the biopharmaceutical sector.
• Business Development Officer / Project Manager: You need an MBA in business, marketing, or a related field with 5 years of business development, sales, or licensing experience in pharma, biotech, CDMO, biologics or biosimilars. A master's degree in any branch of life sciences with the same experience is also accepted.
• Senior Scientist: You need a PhD in Biological Science, Biotechnology, Life Science, or Pharmacological Sciences with at least 5 years of post-PhD experience in reputed labs or relevant industry work in biological therapeutics and product development.
• Scientist / Post-Doctoral Fellow: You need a PhD in Biological Science, Life Science, Biotechnology, or Pharmacological Sciences with 0 to 3 years of post-PhD experience. PhD thesis submitted candidates can also be considered if recommended by their PhD supervisor.

Technical and Administrative Posts

• Technician / Project Assistant: You need a master's degree in Biological Science, Life Science, Biotechnology, or Pharmacological Sciences. Final semester or final year students expected to receive the degree within 1-2 months can also apply.
• Administrative Assistant: You need a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 2 years of experience in office administration, file work, note sheet drafting, and official email handling.
• Accounts Officer: You need a bachelor's or master's degree in Commerce with CA (Inter) or CWA (Inter) and at least 5 years of experience in accounts, budgeting, audit, and financial management.
• Junior Civil Engineer / CAD Designer: You need a B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a relevant specialization with at least 1 year of experience in civil works and building drawings.

Preferred Skills

• Biologics work: Experience in monoclonal antibodies, biosimilars, proteins, vaccines, upstream and downstream processing, mammalian or microbial culture, purification, bioanalytical characterization, CAR-T, gene therapy, and immunotherapy platforms is preferred for scientific posts.
• Administration and finance: MS Office, Google Workspace, government procedures, Tally ERP, PFMS, GeM, GFR, GST, TDS, ledgers, utilization certificates, and vendor payments are useful for support roles.
• Civil engineering: CPWD or State PWD specifications, measurement books, quality checks, AutoCAD, BOQ preparation, SketchUp or 3D modelling experience will help for the Junior Civil Engineer post.

Age Limit

• CEO: Maximum age is 50 years.
• Business Development Officer / Project Manager: Maximum age is 40 years.
• Senior Scientist: Maximum age is 45 years.
• Scientist / Post-Doctoral Fellow: Maximum age is 40 years.
• Technician / Project Assistant: Maximum age is 30 years.
• Administrative Assistant: Maximum age is 35 years.
• Accounts Officer: Maximum age is 55 years.
• Junior Civil Engineer / CAD Designer: Maximum age is 35 years.
• Relaxation: Age relaxation will be given as per Government of India rules. The notification does not mention a separate age reference date.

Salary

• CEO: Rs. 1,25,000 per month + HRA.
• Business Development Officer / Project Manager: Rs. 70,000 per month + HRA.
• Senior Scientist: Rs. 1,00,000 per month + HRA.
• Scientist / Post-Doctoral Fellow: Rs. 58,000 per month + HRA.
• Technician / Project Assistant: Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA.
• Administrative Assistant: Rs. 25,000 per month + HRA.
• Accounts Officer: Rs. 45,000 per month + HRA.
• Junior Civil Engineer / CAD Designer: Rs. 25,000 per month + HRA.
• For exceptional candidates with very strong experience, higher pay may be considered by the competent authority as per the notice.

Selection Process
