National Institute of Biologicals (NIB), Noida has invited online applications for 44 vacancies across Scientist Grade-II, Scientist Grade-III (Vet.), Junior Scientist, Administrative Assistant, Junior Hindi Translator, Laboratory Technician, and Assistant-II posts. The National Institute of Biologicals (NIB), an apex autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare based in Noida, is hiring for 44 vacancies across seven different posts. Selection Process

You will go through a Computer Based Test (CBT) with objective-type multiple choice questions as the first stage. For Scientist posts, this is followed by a Personal Discussion round. If you are applying for Administrative Assistant or Assistant-II, expect a Skill Test as well. The Junior Hindi Translator post has a separate two-paper format covering Paper-I (Objective) and Paper-II (Descriptive/Translation).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality control testing and evaluation of biological products including vaccines, blood products, and diagnostic kits
  • Perform laboratory-based assays, bioassays, and analytical procedures following established protocols
  • Maintain laboratory records, prepare reports, and document experimental findings accurately
  • Support research activities related to biologicals standardization and quality assurance
  • Handle administrative functions including correspondence, record management, and Hindi translation as per post assignment
  • Ensure compliance with national and international standards for biologicals testing

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

12th Pass with 50% marks (for Assistant-II) to Master's Degree / Ph.D. in relevant discipline (for Scientist posts)

Preferred Qualification

Ph.D. in relevant discipline with publications in peer-reviewed journals for Scientist posts. Desirable: 5 publications for Scientist Grade-II, 1 publication for Junior Scientist.

Required Skills

Domain expertise in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Veterinary Science, or Medical Laboratory Technology as applicable to the post

Scientist Grade-II (Medical): 5 years after PG. Scientist Grade-II (Non-Medical): 7 years after Master's or 3 years after Ph.D. Scientist Gr.III (Vet.): 2 years. Junior Scientist: 1 year. Administrative Assistant: 5 years in Administration/Stores/Accounts. Jr. Hindi Translator: 2 years translation experience or Diploma in Translation. Laboratory Technician: 1 year (with B.Sc. MLT). Assistant-II: No experience required.

Salary & Compensation

Pay Scale

Level 2: Rs. 19,900-63,200 | Level 6: Rs. 35,400-1,12,400 | Level 7: Rs. 44,900-1,42,400 | Level 10: Rs. 56,100-1,77,500 | Level 12: Rs. 78,800-2,09,200

Allowances

DA, HRA, Transport Allowance and other allowances as admissible under Central Government rules. NPA (Non-Practising Allowance) for medical Scientist posts.

Exam Pattern
