The National Health Mission (NHM), Nagpur under the District Health Office, Zilla Parishad Nagpur has invited online applications for 11 contractual posts of Staff Nurse and Multi-Purpose Worker (Male) at the HBT Apala Dawakhana, Nagpur. These are contract-based positions valid until 29 June 2026, with the possibility of extension. The selection is purely merit-based with no written exam — your academic marks, additional qualifications, and work experience will decide your rank.

Who Can Apply?

For Staff Nurse (4 Posts)

• Qualification: You must have a GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) diploma with registration from the Maharashtra Nursing Council, OR a B.Sc Nursing degree.
• Posting Location: HBT Apala Dawakhana, Nagpur.

For MPW Male (7 Posts)

• Qualification: You must have passed HSC (12th) in Science stream and completed a Health Worker (Male) training course from a government-recognised institute, OR hold a Sanitary Inspector certificate recognised by the Maharashtra Government, OR completed an equivalent health/family welfare training course approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
• Posting Location: HBT Apala Dawakhana, Nagpur.

Candidates must not have any criminal cases pending against them and must be physically and mentally fit for the post.

Age Limit

• Maximum age (Backward Classes): 43 years
• Maximum age (Open/General): 38 years
• Retired government officers: Up to 70 years (those retired from Class-3 and Class-4 posts can apply for contract positions by 19/12/2026)

Small family norm (effective from 23 July 2020) applies. Candidates with more than two children after this date are not eligible.

Salary

• Staff Nurse: Rs. 20,000 per month (consolidated)
• MPW (Male): Rs. 18,000 per month (consolidated)

This is a contractual position. No additional DA, HRA, or other government allowances will be paid. The contract runs until 29 June 2026.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is purely merit-based. There is no written exam. Your merit score will be calculated out of 100 marks as follows:

1. Qualifying Exam Marks (50 marks): Proportion of your total percentage in the qualifying exam. For example, if you scored 60% in GNM, your marks = 60 x 50/100 = 30 marks.
2. Additional Educational Qualification (20 marks): If you hold a higher degree beyond the minimum required. For Staff Nurse, having a B.Sc Nursing gives you extra marks. For example, scoring 60% in B.Sc Nursing = 60 x 20/100 = 12 marks.
3. Relevant Work Experience (30 marks): 6 marks per year of experience in a related post, up to a maximum of 30 marks (5 years). NHM experience is preferred.

A category-wise merit list will be prepared. In case of a tie, the candidate with more experience gets preference. If experience is also equal, the older candidate is selected.

For posts requiring Skill Assessment (like Staff Nurse), a skill test may also be conducted before appointment.
