NHIDCL Non-Technical Posts Recruitment 2026 - 21 Posts

National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, is looking to fill 21 managerial and officer-level positions in its non-technical cadre through deputation. NHIDCL is responsible for planning, designing, building, and maintaining National Highways in North-Eastern states, hilly terrains, border areas, and other strategically important regions. All 21 positions are on deputation basis for an initial period of 3 years, extendable by another 2 years. Who Can Apply?

You must be a serving officer in any Central or State Government Ministry, Department, PSU, Statutory or Autonomous Body, or academic/research institution. Your current role and experience must match the specific post you are applying for.

For Finance & Accounts Posts (E5 to E8)

  • Qualification: CA / CMA / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent, and membership of an organized Group A or Group B F&A service of government
  • Experience: 9 to 20 years of overall experience with relevant years in Financial Accounting, Budgeting, Internal Audit, Contract Management, or Fund Management

For Land Acquisition Posts (E5 and E6)

  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university, and membership of an organized Group A or Group B service of government
  • Experience: 13 to 17 years of overall experience with at least 3 years in land acquisition related matters

For Legal Posts (E5 and E6)

  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university
  • Experience: 13 to 17 years of overall experience with at least 3 years in contractual matters, arbitration, legislative matters, or land acquisition

For IT Posts (E5 and E6)

  • Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (Computer Science/IT/Networks) or MCA or M.Sc (IT) or M.Tech (Cybersecurity). SAP certified ABAPer preferred
  • Experience: 13 to 17 years of overall experience in IT infrastructure, application management, cybersecurity, or other IT services

For Secretariat Posts (E4 to E6)

  • Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university
  • Experience: Relevant administrative and secretarial experience in government or PSU

For Assistant Director - Official Languages (E4)

  • Qualification: Master's degree in Hindi or English with the other language as a compulsory or elective subject, or as medium of examination at degree level
  • Experience: Relevant experience in translation and official language work

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 56 years as on the closing date of applications (30 April 2026)
  • Age relaxation: Upper age limit may be relaxed by a maximum of 1 year based on the company's requirement

Salary

  • E8 (Executive Director): Rs. 1,20,000 - 3% - Rs. 2,80,000 per month (IDA Pay Scale)
  • E7 (Sr. General Manager): Rs. 1,00,000 - 3% - Rs. 2,60,000 per month
  • E6 (General Manager / Principal Staff Officer): Rs. 90,000 - 3% - Rs. 2,40,000 per month
  • E5 (Deputy General Manager / Principal Private Secretary): Rs. 80,000 - 3% - Rs. 2,20,000 per month
  • E4 (Sr. Private Secretary / Assistant Director): Rs. 70,000 - 3% - Rs. 2,00,000 per month
  • On joining, you will draw Pay and allowances of your parent organization as per DPE guidelines, plus a deputation allowance as per rules

Selection Process

The selection will be done by a Selection Committee constituted as per NHIDCL Cadre Rules, 2025:

  1. Shortlisting: The Selection Committee will frame its own process for shortlisting candidates based on eligibility and experience
  2. Written Test (if applicable): The committee may include a written evaluation as part of the selection process
  3. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview
  4. Document Verification: Verification of all original certificates, ACRs/APARs, and vigilance clearance

Responsibilities

  • Handle finance, accounting, budgeting, and audit functions for national highway projects
  • Manage land acquisition processes including coordination with state revenue departments
  • Prepare legal opinions, handle arbitration cases, and manage contractual disputes
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application management across NHIDCL offices
  • Assist senior management with secretarial functions and office administration
  • Manage official language implementation including Hindi translation of official documents
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for board meetings and government reviews
  • Coordinate with central and state government agencies on highway development projects
