NFSU Medical and Psychology Consultants Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Goa Campus is empanelling visiting Medical Practitioners and Psychologists/Counsellors to support its students, faculty and staff. The arrangement is part-time, temporary and paid by visit, so it is designed for working professionals who can attend the Curti, Ponda campus on a planned weekly schedule. The two roles form one campus wellness service: the doctor handles general medical needs, while the counsellor supports emotional, academic and behavioural well-being. Applicants propose their own consultation charge per visit for the committee to consider.

Posts and Disciplines

• Medical Practitioner (General Physician): General consultation, prescriptions, medical certification, preventive health advice, record review and referrals for the campus community.
• Psychologist/Counsellor: Individual and group counselling, psychological assessment, crisis support, wellness programmes and referral coordination for students and staff.

Post-wise Duties

Medical Practitioner

You will act as the campus's Authorised Medical Attendant during scheduled visits, provide consultations and prescriptions, and respond to urgent medical needs when required. You will also review health records and reimbursement claims, advise on preventive care and coordinate referrals to hospitals or specialists.

The practitioner is expected to support health-awareness work at the Wellness Centre and coordinate with university teams on medical initiatives. Records and consultation information must remain confidential.

Psychologist and Counsellor

You will provide confidential psychological counselling for personal, emotional, academic, behavioural and interpersonal concerns. The work can include individual or group sessions, professional assessments, stress and anxiety support, crisis intervention and follow-up.

You will also contribute to mental-health awareness and preventive programmes and coordinate referrals with doctors, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists or other specialists when a case needs additional care.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Visit pattern: The doctor is expected on three flexible days each week, while the psychologist or counsellor is expected on one flexible day each week.
• Tenure: The initial hourly-paid engagement is for one year. Any extension depends on mutual agreement and satisfactory performance.
• Temporary status: Empanelment does not create a claim to a regular or sanctioned university post.
• Termination: Either side may end the arrangement with one month's written notice, and the university may act earlier if performance is unsatisfactory.
• Confidentiality: Consultation notes and personal information must be protected and cannot be shared with an unauthorised person or agency.
• Professional standing: Applicants must declare that no regulatory or statutory body has barred, blacklisted or disqualified them from practice.
