NEHU Project Technical Support III Recruitment 2026: Overview

North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) is recruiting Project Technical Support–III staff for an airway-assessment research project in its Department of Biomedical Engineering. The project aims to develop and validate an artificial intelligence (AI) model that can automate airway assessment and predict difficult airways across multiple centres.

The work is funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Your engagement belongs to this research project, with duty at NEHU Shillong or a designated project site.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project appointment: These are temporary project positions. Your appointment ends with the project; the notice does not offer a regular university appointment.
• Initial tenure: The appointment starts with a one-year term. It may continue until the project finishes, but an extension depends on both satisfactory performance and available project funds.
• Project duration: The research project runs for four years. This overall duration should not be read as a guaranteed four-year appointment for every person selected.
• Travel costs: NEHU will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview. You need to account for those expenses yourself.
• Appointment rules: The institute's and funding agency's terms govern the engagement. The selection committee's decision is final.
