North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO), a Government of India enterprise under the power sector and an NTPC subsidiary, has released Advertisement No. NEEPCO-02/2026. The posts are on a fixed-term basis for 3 years, extendable yearly for up to 2 more years based on performance and requirement. Most postings may be at Shillong or NEEPCO offices/project sites across India, including remote North Eastern project locations.

Who Can Apply?

Technical and Engineering Posts

• ERP: Full-time engineering/technology/B.Sc Engineering degree in any discipline plus SAP HCM certification and 7 years of relevant SAP HCM experience.
• Civil: Full-time Civil Engineering degree, or Civil Engineering diploma for the junior civil group, with 1 to 7 years of hydro project/PSP survey, investigation, planning or civil construction experience as applicable.
• Safety: Mechanical/Electrical/Production Engineering degree with recognised industrial safety diploma, or engineering degree in industrial/fire and safety, plus 4 years of safety experience.

Professional and Specialist Posts

• HR Corporate Communication: Graduation plus 2-year full-time PG degree/diploma in Mass Communication or Journalism with 7 years of relevant experience.
• Security: Graduation with at least 9 years of service as Captain/Major/Lt. Colonel or equivalent police/security rank experience.
• Law: Full-time LLB or equivalent with 6 years legal practice/judicial service experience, or 9 years relevant PSU/Government legal experience.
• Finance: MBA with Finance specialisation of at least 2 years or equivalent, or CA/CMA with graduation. Senior finance posts need 4 years of relevant experience.
• Medical: MBBS, preferably with PG degree/diploma, registered with Indian Medical Council, and preferably 1 year post-internship experience.
• CSR: Master's degree in Social Work, Community Organisation or Development Practice; CSR/social welfare and ERP experience are preferred.

Eligibility note: All educational qualifications must be from recognised and approved Indian universities or institutions. Experience and qualification requirements are counted with reference to the last date of online application, while the upper age limit is counted as on 01 January 2026.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: You must be above 18 years and an Indian citizen.
• Maximum age: Post-wise upper age is 30, 31, 34 or 37 years as on 01 January 2026.
• Age relaxation: SC/ST gets 5 years, OBC-NCL gets 3 years, PwD gets 10 years and Ex-Servicemen get relaxation as per Government guidelines.

Salary

• Highest consolidated pay: Rs. 1,66,000 per month for ERP, HR Corporate Communication and senior Civil posts.
• Mid-level consolidated pay: Rs. 1,45,000 per month for Civil, Security, Law, Safety and senior Finance posts.
• Medical Executive: Rs. 1,35,000 per month.
• Junior Finance and CSR: Rs. 90,000 per month.
• Junior Civil: Rs. 71,000 per month.
• Benefits: HRA or company accommodation and medical facility for self, spouse, two children and dependent parents.

Application Fee

• General / EWS / OBC: Rs. 500.
• SC / ST / PwD / ESM / Women: No fee.
• Payment mode: Online through SBI e-Pay in favour of NEEPCO.

Selection Process

NEEPCO may use a multi-stage selection process to shortlist candidates.

1. Application Screening: Applications may be screened by qualification marks, experience years and other eligibility factors.
2. Written or Computer Based Test: NEEPCO may conduct a written/CBT stage if needed.
3. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates may be called for interview.
4. Document Verification: Original certificates and uploaded documents will be checked before appointment.
5. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must pass the prescribed medical fitness check before joining.
