Mizoram Public Service Commission is hiring 1 Sub-Station Officer in the Home (Fire & Emergency Services) Department through a Limited Departmental Examination (LDE No. 12 of 2026-2027). This is a Group 'B' Non-Gazetted post with pay at Level 6 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 35,400 - Rs. 1,12,400). You must already be serving as a Leading Firefighter with at least 5 years of regular service to apply. The last date is 21 May 2026 (4:00 PM).

MPSC Sub-Station Officer Recruitment 2026 — 1 Post

The Mizoram Public Service Commission has issued this notification on 22 April 2026 under reference number A.34012/8/2026-MPSC(PRE). Since this is a Limited Departmental Examination, it is open only to in-service Fire Service personnel meeting the eligibility conditions — fresh candidates and outside applicants are not eligible. The post is governed by the Mizoram Home (Fire & Emergency Services) Department (Group 'B' post) Recruitment Rules, 2017.

Who Can Apply?

You can apply for this MPSC Sub-Station Officer LDE only if you meet both conditions below:

• Present grade: You must currently be a Leading Firefighter in the Mizoram Fire & Emergency Services.
• Service: You need not less than 5 years of regular service in the Leading Firefighter grade.
• Training: You must have passed the Station Officers' course of the National Fire Service College, Nagpur.

If you do not meet any one of these, your candidature will be disqualified at any stage of verification.

Age Limit

• The notification does not prescribe a specific age limit because eligibility is restricted to serving Leading Firefighters with the required service and training.
• Standard departmental rules under the Recruitment Rules, 2017 will apply.

Salary

• Pay Level: Level 6 of the Pay Matrix.
• Basic pay range: Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
• You will also get applicable Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance and other admissible allowances as per Mizoram government rules.

How to Apply

2. If you are not yet registered, complete the One Time Registration (OTR) by 4:00 PM on the last date of submission. OTR will be verified by MPSC before you can submit any application.
3. Log in and fill the application form for LDE No. 12 of 2026-2027 — Sub-Station Officer.
4. Pay the application fee online and confirm the payment is successful.
5. Verify that your application is actually submitted after payment — unsubmitted applications will not be entertained.

• Supervise fire-fighting operations at a sub-station and lead the on-duty crew during emergency calls.
• Manage day-to-day administration, duty rosters, and discipline of Leading Firefighters and Firemen at the sub-station.
• Maintain operational readiness of fire tenders, pumps, breathing apparatus, and rescue equipment.
• Conduct regular drills, training sessions, and physical exercises for the sub-station crew.
• Carry out fire safety inspections of buildings, factories, and public premises within the jurisdiction.
• Prepare incident reports, daily station logs, and equipment status reports for the Station Officer.
• Coordinate with police, hospitals, and disaster response agencies during major emergencies.
• Handle community awareness programs on fire prevention and emergency preparedness.
