The Government of Madhya Pradesh's Energy Department has issued Vacancy Circular No. F-3-07/2012/13/04 dated 3 July 2026 to fill the post of Managing Director at MP Power Generating Company Ltd., Jabalpur. After the unbundling of the Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board (MPSEB), the state formed six separate entities — one Generation Company, one Transmission Company, three Distribution Companies, and one Power Management Company — which were granted autonomy with effect from 1 June 2005. MPPGCL looks after all power generation work in the state, and this unbundling was part of a broader power sector reform aimed at improving efficiency, accountability, and service delivery across Madhya Pradesh. As CEO of the company, the MD will be responsible for the overall management of the company, with a focus on improving its performance and leading organizational transformation, including development and implementation of the company's business plan and managing key stakeholders. This is a senior leadership opportunity to head one of Madhya Pradesh’s key power sector companies, reporting directly to the state’s Energy Department.

Age Limit

Salary

You will get the pay scale of the Executive Director of MP Power Generating Company Ltd., along with similar perquisites. This will be subject to reduction by the amount of your pension or pension equivalent, as per prevailing government rules.
