MPKV SRF and Technical Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri, is recruiting a Senior Research Fellow and Technical Assistant for its MFL research project in the Department of Soil and Water Conservation Engineering. The project uses advanced data-driven tools to develop a framework for carbon-neutral multifunctional landscapes. These are contractual project appointments at Dr. A. S. College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology.

Posts and Disciplines

• Senior Research Fellow: The research position belongs to the MFL project in the soil and water conservation engineering department at Rahuri.
• Technical Assistant: This is the technical support position within the same project and department. Both appointees work under the Principal Investigator and the relevant Co-Principal Investigators.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The initial engagement lasts six months or until the project ends, whichever happens first. Your appointment also ends when its stated tenure expires, even if you do not receive a separate individual communication.
• No regular appointment: The university does not promise absorption into a regular post or another contract when this project engagement ends.
• Full-time commitment: You cannot hold another appointment or take up other work during the engagement, whether paid or unpaid. University administrative, financial and disciplinary rules apply.
• Work location: You may need to work elsewhere within MPKV’s jurisdiction when the project requires it.
• Leaving the project: Give one month of written notice or pay one month of salary instead. Complete the handover to the person nominated by the Principal Investigator and obtain clearance before leaving.
• Termination: The project may end your appointment with one month of notice. Negligence or serious misconduct can lead to termination with 24 hours of notice; a month of unauthorised absence can end the appointment from the start of that absence.
• Research ownership: The project and MPKV own the work and intellectual property produced during the engagement. Acknowledgement in research papers is at the Principal Investigator’s discretion.
• Other conditions: You must accept the service terms through a bond, attend at your own expense and settle claims within one month, before the scheme’s accounts are finally closed. Canvassing can disqualify you, and the committee may leave posts unfilled.
