The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has released an official notification for 1679 vacancies across four posts in the Forest Department and Jail Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Post-Wise Vacancy Details

Eligibility

Qualification

• Van Rakshak: 12th pass (10+2)
• Kshetra Rakshak: 10th pass
• Jail Prahari: 12th pass (10+2)
• Sahayak Jail Adhishak: Graduate degree

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026)

• Guard posts: 18-33 years (UR Male), 18-38 years (Female/Reserved, MP domicile)
• Sahayak Jail Adhishak: 21-33 years (UR Male), 21-38 years (Female/Reserved, MP domicile)

Selection Process

1. Computer Based Test (CBT) — 100 MCQs, 100 marks, 2 hours, 0.25 negative marking
2. Physical Standard Test (PST) — Height and chest measurement
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — Walk/run/shot put/long jump
4. Document Verification

• Total Questions: 100 MCQs
• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: 2 hours
• Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer
• Language: Hindi and English
• Exam starts from: 07 April 2026

• Patrol assigned forest areas to prevent illegal felling, poaching, and encroachment (Van Rakshak / Kshetra Rakshak)
• Protect forest resources and wildlife under the jurisdiction of the Forest Department
• Report illegal activities, fires, or damage in the forest area to senior officials
• Maintain records of forest activity, plant count, and wildlife movements as instructed
• Guard jail premises and ensure safety and security of inmates (Jail Prahari)
• Supervise jail operations, prisoner movement, and maintain discipline inside the jail (Sahayak Jail Adhishak)
• Check entry and exit of visitors, staff, and goods at the jail gate
• Follow all departmental rules, security protocols, and orders from senior officers
• Assist in emergency situations including fire, riots, or escape attempts inside jail
• Maintain a daily duty log and submit reports as required by the department
