The Department of Public Health and Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh has issued Advertisement No. 221/2026 dated 01 June 2026 for Associate Professor posts. Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You need the postgraduate medical qualification required for the concerned specialty under the NMC Teachers Eligibility Qualifications Regulations, 2025.
• Qualifications in the NMC tables for medical specialties, broad specialties and super-specialties will be checked for the exact department.
• For non-medical teachers in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Pharmacology, the department will follow the NMC permitted percentage limit mentioned in the notification.

Teaching and Research Experience

• You generally need at least 3 years as Assistant Professor in the concerned subject at a recognised medical institution.
• For eligible Armed Forces specialist medical officers, comparable teaching experience in a forces teaching hospital may be counted as noted in the notice.
• You need the required research publications and biomedical research course requirement wherever NMC rules apply.
• Your qualification and experience must be earned by the advertisement date; late-acquired eligibility will not be accepted.

Age Limit

• Superannuation age: 65 years.
• Service left condition: The notice says an Associate Professor applicant should have at least 5 years left before completing the superannuation age of 65 years from the advertisement date.
• Date of birth proof: The date in the Class 10 mark sheet will be treated as the valid date of birth.
• Reservation rules: MP domicile SC and ST candidates can claim reserved category benefit as per the notification and valid caste certificate rules.

Salary

• Associate Professor: Pay Level 13A, Rs. 1,31,400 to Rs. 2,17,100 per month.
• Allowances: Dearness allowance and other government allowances will apply as per Madhya Pradesh rules.
• Service rules: Appointment is under the Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Gazetted Service Recruitment Rules, 2023.
• Probation: Selected applicants will be appointed on 2 years probation.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

MPDME will select Associate Professors through shortlisting and interview. There is no written exam mentioned in this notification.
