The Department of Public Health and Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh has issued Advertisement No. 222/2026 dated 01 June 2026 for Assistant Professor recruitment. Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You need the postgraduate medical qualification required for the concerned specialty under the NMC Teachers Eligibility Qualifications Regulations, 2025.
• The exact degree route depends on the subject, broad specialty or super-specialty listed in the NMC tables.
• For non-medical teachers in allowed departments, the department will follow the NMC cap of up to 30 percent where medical teachers are not available.

Experience Requirement

• The notice mentions 1 year Senior Resident experience in the concerned subject for Assistant Professor eligibility, subject to NMC rules.
• For some routes, equivalent tutor, specialist, super-specialist or government medical institution experience may be considered as described in the notification.
• Qualification, registration and experience must be available by the advertisement date; later-acquired eligibility will not be counted.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years.

Salary

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

MPDME will recruit Assistant Professors through scrutiny, shortlisting and interview. The notification does not mention any written examination.
