The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) has released this employment notice for medical, paramedical and non-medical appointments in polyclinics at Chennai, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Avadi, Kanchipuram, Island Grounds, Villupuram, Cuddalore and Puducherry. These are contract jobs for the vacancy period from 01 October 2026 to 31 March 2027. Employment period will be 12 months for ex-servicemen and 11 months for others.

Who Can Apply?

Medical Specialist, Radiologist and Gynaecologist

• Qualification: You need an MD/MS, DNB or PG speciality qualification as listed for the concerned post.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years experience after post-graduation is required. For Radiologist, the notice also accepts longer experience after PG diploma.
• Age limit: Maximum 68 years for employment.

Medical Officer and Dental Officer

• Medical Officer: MBBS with minimum 3 years experience after internship. Additional qualification in Medicine or Surgery is preferred.
• Dental Officer: BDS with minimum 3 years work experience.
• Age limit: Medical Officer up to 66 years; Dental Officer up to 63 years.

Paramedical and Support Posts

• Paramedical posts: DMLT, B.Sc MLT, GNM, Pharmacy, Radiographer, Physiotherapy or Dental Hygienist qualification is needed as per the post.
• Non-medical posts: Officer-in-Charge is for retired Defence Officers. Driver, Female Attendant, Safaiwala and Chowkidar need the basic education and experience shown in the notice.
• Experience: Most paramedical and support posts need 3 to 5 years experience.

Age Limit

• Medical Specialist / Radiologist / Gynaecologist: Up to 68 years
• Medical Officer: Up to 66 years
• Dental Officer and Officer-in-Charge: Up to 63 years
• Paramedical posts: Up to 56 years
• Driver, Female Attendant, Safaiwala and Chowkidar: Up to 53 years

Salary

• Medical Specialist / Radiologist / Gynaecologist: Rs. 1,30,000 per month
• Medical Officer / Dental Officer / Officer-in-Charge: Rs. 95,000 per month
• Lab Assistant / Lab Technician / Pharmacist / Nursing Assistant / Radiographer / Physiotherapist / Dental Assistant: Rs. 36,500 per month
• Driver: Rs. 25,600 per month
• Female Attendant / Safaiwala / Chowkidar: Rs. 21,800 per month
• Part-time option: Medical Specialist, Gynaecologist and Radiologist can also apply part-time, with daily pay based on 2, 3 or 4 hours per day.

Application Fee

Selection Process
