Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Kancheepuram RMO Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Kancheepuram (IIITDM Kancheepuram), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released Advt. No. IIITDM/GSS/RMO/Contract/2026-27/01 for a Resident Medical Officer. The post is meant for an experienced doctor who can handle the medical and healthcare needs of students, faculty, staff and their families at the fully residential campus near Chennai. This is a residential contract role, so the selected doctor must stay inside the campus and remain available for urgent medical needs beyond fixed OPD hours.

The engagement is initially for 1 year. IIITDM Kancheepuram may extend it on a yearly basis if performance is satisfactory and the Institute still needs the service. This is useful for senior doctors who want a stable campus-based medical role, but it is still a contract appointment and does not create a right for regular appointment in the Institute.
