Who Can Apply?

For Senior Deputy Traffic Manager:

• Qualification: A degree from a recognized university.
• Experience: You need 12 years of experience in Shipping, Cargo Operations, or Railway Transportation in an executive cadre in an Industrial, Commercial, or Government Undertaking.

For Senior Deputy Chief Accounts Officer:

• Qualification: You must be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI).
• Experience: You need 12 years of experience in an executive cadre in Finance or Accounting in an Industrial, Commercial, or Government Undertaking.

Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who settled in India before 1 January 1962, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, or specified East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India. SC/ST/OBC candidates must submit caste certificates from prescribed authorities such as the District Magistrate or a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar, and OBC certificates must carry a valid non-creamy layer clause.

Age Limit

• The age limit for both posts is 42 years as on 1 July 2026 (the crucial date for eligibility).
• Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Government of India guidelines for reserved categories.
• Regular employees of the Board of Major Port Authorities of India can apply with a relaxed upper age limit of 55 years, if they meet the qualification and experience criteria.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary on the scale of Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 2,20,000 per month (IDA pay pattern).
• The pay package includes Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance (IDA pattern), and Cafeteria Allowance at 35% of Basic Pay.
• You will also get Gratuity, HRA or quarters, medical benefits, leave encashment and other benefits as per MPA/Government of India rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Written Examination: Conducted only if more than 10 candidates are found eligible for a post. Carries 85% weightage in the final selection.
2. Interview: Carries 15% weightage. Candidates are called for interview in a ratio of 1:5 or less, depending on the availability of qualified candidates.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates must be submitted for verification during scrutiny or at any stage of the recruitment.

MPA reserves the right to fix qualifying cut-off marks and limit the number of candidates shortlisted for the next stage.
