MPA Technical Assistant Civil Recruitment 2026: Overview

Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) is engaging Technical Assistants in Civil Engineering through its General Administration Department. This is a fixed-term contract at the port, with the recruitment arrangements centred on Headland Sada in Goa.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract period: Your engagement lasts two years and ends automatically when that period expires. MPA may enter into a fresh contract afterwards, but its duration and terms would need mutual agreement.
• Permanent employment: The engagement gives you no right to claim permanent absorption into any post in the port service. A possible fresh contract does not change that condition.
• Leaving the assignment: Either you or MPA can end the contract during its term by giving one month's notice.
• Working arrangements: You follow office hours with weekly offs and report to the concerned head of department or an authorised officer.
• Casual leave: You receive 1.25 days for every completed calendar month of contract service. Unused leave cannot be encashed or carried into another calendar year or a future contract, and no other leave is allowed.
• Medical support: Free treatment at the MPA hospital is available for you personally, within the facilities the hospital provides.
• Port accommodation: Housing depends on availability. Prevailing rent and other charges are deducted from your consolidated pay, while you bear water and electricity charges at actual cost.
• Conduct and disputes: Canvassing leads to disqualification. For disputes over the contract, the Chairperson of MPA has the final say on interpretation and the decision.
• Updates: MPA will publish changes and corrigenda on its website without sending individual notices. Keep checking it because the administration may change the announced dates and timings.
